My second time racing at RCCW, super time. Exceptional participation. Program efficently ran by Oladele, Vals and Ivy,,, The Three Amigos.
Thanks Mike Sko and Gia for providing a place for the racers to come out and play. Special thanks go out to my technical support crew that are behind the performance of my ride, Al Sodano, Mike Hanulec, Barry Lofton and Larry Fairtrace. These guys made me look way better than I actually am. See everybody again soon!

There was another guy there who helped out with running the event, registration and running the event in general…sorry I didn't catch his name but he deserves a strong thank you as all for all he did today to make sure we got in a solid day of racing. Great facility provided by Mike at RC Car World. I hope to get back down there at some time.

Justin and I had an absolute blast! While I only made the C, it was one of the best and most memorable races I have ever had. Oladele lost our straightway fender to fender battle, but Marvin beat me in our sweeper fender to fender run. (I wish I was the one on the inside!) What a great race. I cannot wait to race you guys again. That was true door to door racing at it's best. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but I'll take a third place defeat like that any day. That was awesome! My hands were shaking and I could hear my heart beating! I hope someone recorded that one!

Can someone more savvy than myself tell me what the SMH in "still SMH on the Concourse winner" means? I had some feeling about that too!

Jammin' Jeff. One word: Impressive!

Tom Trez - You were a big part of Justin's day. Thanks for giving him a great battle.

See you guys in a few weeks. Thank you again. You hit it out of the park yesterday.

One more thing: It was great to see some more younger drivers than usual out there yesterday! Get those teenage kids out there to race. They are the ones that will keep this all going one day. The Mini class is such a good one to get kids and new drivers started. Pick one up for someone you love and get them racing! This class NEEDS to run every week. It's the one class that all of those INVALUABLE spectators (something most tracks could only dream of having) can easily and affordably start racing. Support this class!
It was MY pleasure to race with Justin. He is a great driver and shows amazing promise. It was only my second real Mini race. I'm a noob to this car, so I'm learning along with him. I'm willing to share anything I learn with him - dare I say, we team up to beat the big guys!

Totally in agreement with the concours winner selection.... What the heck?

That black Firebird was a waaaaaaaay nicer car.

Plus, how can you pass up the black mini with the Van Halen roof and headlights? HEADLIGHTS! The owner even raced it with its headlights on.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Here is something very noteworthy. I saw no less than 5 father son/daughter teams participating the day of the event. The importance of having siblings engaged,,,, and even more importantly,,, accepted at the track can not be stressed enough. First off, it's good for their development for them to interact with many different types of people,,, and not just camp out in front of a TV or computer gaming. There are many life lessons to be learned when competing in regards to how to handle victories and the dissapointment of defeats. Good sportsmanship is sometimes hard to display under certain circumstances,,,, it must be learned! Secondly, as us "ole' heads" get phased out and get sent out to pasture, the youngin's will replace us. Gotta have fresh blood coming into our hobby.
