It might be a good thing since king is running 13.5 from what I have been told

I think 17.5 is what our 12 scale guys are running. I pickup a used 12 scale with a 13.5 so I'll have to get a 17.5.

Default all together

Reguardless of which way the majority of HoBMax's 1/12th scale guys wish to proceed (13.5 or 17.5), I agree that it would be counterproductive and damaging to subdivide the 1/12th scale class. IMO, we should all run 17.5s or all run 13.5s, but we should not divide up the 1/12th scale competition. That is unless and until there was a consistent turnout of at least 3 full heats of 1/12th scale. Only then would it make sense to consider subdividing the class. It is my personal preference to run faster motors, however it has also been my experience at several other tracks that adding in faster motors and/or splitting up the 1/12th scale competition usually turns out to be a bad idea. Personally, I would like to run 13.5s......but only if EVERYBODY agrees to go that route. If the vote to consider running 13.5s is not unanimous, then I vote to keep everybody running 17.5s because it is just not much fun to race against only 2 or 3 guys.

I don't mind running 17.5 or 13.5 myself for 12th scale. I guess the best thing to do is bring it up at the drivers meeting next weekend and see what everyone wants to do. What's the general rollout for 13.5?

It's 16 guys in the points running 12 scale with 17.5 motors. I'll pick up a 17.5 motor this week.

I really don't care what motor is ran in 12th scale but I doubt (since they r running a point series) they would want to change motors in the middle of the series.

I guess it should be 17.5 until after points series. I would also rather run 13.5 but it wouldn't be fair to change the rules in the middle of the series.

I have to agree. The points have already started. Cant change it until after points series. 13.5 would be fun. Mod would be even more fun.

Mine will finally be ready for the points race. Just unsure of which motor to run in it. I have a D4 in it now. I may try that.

I have only ran my tc down there once and I have the d4 with the 12.5 ht rotor and it seemed to be pretty stout.

X12 guys...what battery set up works best? I think I'll run it across the chassis. I've Seen Most Setup This way.
