Default Railyard Hobbies Fall 2014 Indoor Clay Season

Railyard Hobbies is happy to announce our Fall 2014 Indoor Off-Road Racing Season


The Fall season will kick –off on Saturday, September 27.
We will be running an 11 week season with 2 drops.

Class winners each week will receive a $20 Store gift Card
A door prize will also be awarded on non-promo race days.

This is a points series so at the end of the last race a champion will be named for each class that has been run 2/3 of all weeks (8 races).

Series Class Winner Award: Apple iPad Air 2
Series Class 2nd Place: $75 restaurant gift card
Series Class 3rd Place: $50 store gift card

Points will be awarded based on the following criteria:
1. Race Entry- Must complete 1 lap. = 5pts
2. Qualifying rank for the Mains. 1st=10pts, 2nd=9pts, ,,,10th and up 1pt
3. Finishing order from the mains. 1st=20pts, 2nd-19pts,,,6th=5pts,,, 10th and up 1pt.
4. Bonus Points for being TQ (5pts) or winning the mains (5pts) or both(10).
5. Lap Points. =1pt for each lap completed from heats and main.
6. Season Bonus Points for making all Races. = 25pts

Doors Open at 8:00 am
Registration opens at 9:00 am
Driver’s Meeting at 11:00 am
Racing Begins at 11:30 am

All races will be for 1/10 only. Sorry but no 1/8 scale.

Class Motor Batteries Tires

SCT 2wd Modified 1/10 No motor limit NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made SCT tire designed for clay tracks

SCT Stock 1/10 17.5 brushless or out of box brushed NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made SCT tire designed for clay tracks

2wd Buggy Modified1/10 No motor limit NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made Buggy tire designed for clay tracks


Optional Classes Need 4 entries

SCT 4wd 1/10 No motor limit NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made SCT tire designed for clay tracks

4wd Buggy 1/10 No motor limit NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made Buggy tire designed for clay tracks

Losi Mini 8ight Truggy 1/14 Out of box motor/ESC NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v Any factory made Buggy tire designed for clay tracks

Stock Buggy 1/10. 17.5 brushless or out of the box brushed. NiMH 7.2v or LiPO 7.4v. Any factory made buggy tire designed for clay tracks

Race Fee’s: First Class Entered $15
2nd Class Entered $10
Track members receive $2.00 off each fee.

Traction Compounds Allowed: SXT 3.0 , Sticky Kicks & Trinity. No Paragon.
All LiPO Batteries must be charged in a LiPO Bag and should be hardcase.
ROAR rules will be followed unless otherwise noted.

All driver’s must be prepared to Marshall at the end of their race.
Racers are also expected to clean up their pit area and turn off the pit light before leaving.

Race Schedule:

Sat. 9/27 Opening Day- All Racer’s will receive a LiPO Charging Bag
Sat. 10/4 – First race of the month-Lunch will be provided
Sat. 10/11
Sat. 10/18
Sat. 10/25
Sat. 11/1– First race of the month-Lunch will be provided
Sat. 11/8

Sat. 11/22-All entry Fee’s go to provide Thanksgiving meals for the needy. Class winners win Butterball Turkey’s.
Sat. 11/29- All entry fee’s go to Toys for Tots
Sat. 12/6- Final Race of Season

This schedule is based on fair weather. Any races cancelled due to weather will be considered a drop race.

Default

With the Mini Eight-T class can you change the radio and Receiver ? I have no use for stock radio since I have a Airtronics radio and receiver . I use on all my trucks .

Yes, you will be able to change radio and receiver. Its just the ESC/Motor that can't be changed.

We have a few guys who want to try running 2wd buggy but they really aren't up to speed yet. If we can get 5 or so, can they run 17.5 buggy? They really aren't interested in SCT but want to start off in a stock class.

No problem on the stock buggy. We will add it as one of the optional classes. We had some interest in the spring but could never get the necessary number of racers. I will edit it on to the post.

Who has a 4wd SC at this track that would run it for the opener ? The new layout looks better suited for it now .

Ken , we are going to run there this year when we are done out side but not till . I would like to run my 1/8 buggy but is read no1/8 ebuggy. ...
