It was a pleasure to know Jon. I raced slotcars with him at Zeppelin Hobbies in the early 90’s, met him again during his time at Express and was reacquainted in the last few years at Jackson and Horsham.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, skillful competition and bravery. A true loss for all of us.

Very sorry to hear for everyone's loss... Family and Friends... GOD REST YOUR SOUL JON...
One of few whom I had the pleasure to meet that was as helpful, kind and caring... Hope to pay it forward Jon...

This is truly sad news. Jon was a great guy and I will have very fond memories of racing with him. I hope that his family has all of the help and support that they need during this very tough time. If there is anything that I can do please let me know.
Jon you will be missed sir!

Always sad news when someone leaves us early especially one of our close racing friends. I just exchanged E mails with him a few weeks ago.....He was a great guy although I hadnt had the chance of meeting him in person but you could tell by the emails and phone calls that he was one of those guys you couldnt do anything but like at the track.
RIP Jon and thoughts to your family that are left behind far to early.

That is a bad and shocking news. JW was a great person and a frind
I will miss JW a lot because every time I was on the track we was having
Fun and a great time. This something that make U think about
U never know what can happen to some one U know and make U
Think that is better be or tray be good to other people and be a Frend
That be don't talking to no one and think ....every one because
When some stuff like that happen U will think and say wow
That guy can be me and U will love more U live.
I will miss JW and we will need to remember JW
Like he was always happy and helping every one he can
And having fun.
R.I.P my good frind JW.

This was a shocker to me.. is just a reminder of here today gone tomorrow and how fragile live is..
In the past 2 years I've lost 3 member of my family, two in the same week. Its a painfull expirience. Thoughts and Prayers to his family..R.I.P jon..we will miss your competitive spirit..

This was the worst news I have ever had to deliver to my racing family.
I was informed of his passing early this morning.
Shocked is all I can say. We just texted each other this Thursday....I just can't wrap my head around it right now.
Jon was not only my pit buddy....he was a mentor and a friend.
When I decided to get into the touring car game a few years ago I was a disaster..Just out of kindness he took me under his wing (he was just returning after a break). He did not know me from Adam...and had no reason to bother wasting his time with my 10,000 questions while he was trying to get his game going again but he did none the less. Along the way we became not only racing buds but good friends.
Jon was not only a fierce competitor..but was always there to answer ANY setup questions fellow racers had. I have seen him give his setup out to anyone that asked..Not the basic stuff...every tweak, down to the last detail...no bs. It would shock me at times when he would just hand over his car to people he was in direct competition with... Just a cool thing to do.
We have sat next to each other every Saturday for two years... My wife and I have had the pleasure to spend off track time with Jon and his awesome family. I am absolutely devastated for them.
Pedro is right...you never know what the next day brings. We all get together to race weekend in and out for months/years/decades sometimes. Some of us see our racing buds more than our own family members..Think about that.
The r/c community suffered a huge loss today.
Godspeed Brother.
