Duane, get a VTA car. I have an Associated TC 6.1. ITs a fun class to run in.

go with the car that the hobby shop has parts for. I think this would be a good start for your first TC because you will have access to parts faster.

Ive got all the spare parts in my pit bag for the Associated. Im extremely anal when it comes to that. Juwan, I race 5th scale with Duane. This class would be a great starting point for him, since the cars are not that fast. The only pain in the ass for me was having to build the car. That sucked ass!

Thanks guys. With the research I've done so far I'm leaning toward a TC6. Looking forward to trying my hand in onroad again. I raced nitro onroad 10-12 years ago so we'll see...

Swanny I dont race carpet until after the Turkey Bowl race in November. Your right, its too much to do both. I like racing outdoors the best, but the carpet keeps your skills tuned over the winter. Duane if your going Associated get the kit soon. It will take you 8 hours to build the car. I can let you take mine for a rip once the carpet track is ready to go. This way you can see if its your flavor of car.
