They have revised that, now saying the 29th. They have also dropped the Pan Cars and added a 19T F201 class. I'm wondering if they will still only allow you to run one class again this year (like last year). I think if they allow you to run one touring car class AND the F201 class, they should have a pretty good sized field of F1's out there.

yes you can add F201 as your second entry. the grand prix will be on June 25th and 26th.

Format should be the same as last year. Honda is sponsoring again it looks like so we'll get awesome raffle prizes in addition to the great deal of equipment that Ko raffles off also.

should be a fun race.

I also called KO, and was told that the download would be available by Friday. Sweet to hear that the F201 class made it. I was told earlier it might be, but to wait and see. Any idea what the resrtictions on that class will be? Fixed timing 19T, any chassis, any tires??

Good questions. When they ran the race last year, you had to run a "spec" motor in the 19T class. I'm willing to bet that's what happens again this year for the 19T and the F201 classes. They have not used a "controlled" tire in the past two races.

As far as tires and chassises for the F201 class. It is being held at Tamiya after all. There's a strong possiblity that they will require you to run Tamiya tires and a stock chassis. They might give in on the tires, but I can't see them allowing guys to run aftermarket chassises. We should know by this Friday though.

My guess is they will allow any of the aftermarket carbon chassis and any tire ( like the F1RL series does) for this event. Just have to be F201 based. Since they don't control chassis or tires in sedan, this would be my guess.

Remember the last F1RL race though. Tamiya tires only. We'll find out this Friday when they post the rules.

Default F201

hey guys.. the main goal of the Ko Propo race is to have fun. so the rules arent really as restrictive.

im sure it'll be a handout motor for 19T Spec and F201. with the option to purchase another motor.

my question is.. which of the Cole Brothers is gonna prep / let me borrow an F201 to run at this race? oh wait.. nevermind i have no stick packs.

After the comments you made about running my F201 last time (no steering), you want to do it again ?

Actually, check with MarK C. He has two F201's. He might loan you one. In fact, you were using his rear wing after you broke the one on mine. If Mark comes up with a car for you, I can come up with some stick packs.

If I remember correctly from last year... the event started at noon... so we had ample time for practice the whole morning... (that's more than 5 hours of several practice rounds)

But then... a full extra day wouldn't hurt either... especially to those running non-tamiya cars...

Most people running the Reedy race doesnt really need practice anymore. I think you have more than enough practice from a few weeks back. At the same time, you dont need to shell out some dough for the practice tires.
