go to big races and win or make it in the A mains. maybe if you have a local hobby shop that has a race program and you are a top driver at your hobby shop the hobby shop my sponsor you for discounted parts and tires. you have to start building a resume if you want sponsorship by a manufacture. also stick with one brand of car.

earn a good rep, Are you wanting to be sponsored for discount parts and free stuff or because you want to represent them. Ideally a sponsored driver should be in the Amain week in and week out. Travel alot, to build a resume, NO i am NOT a sponsored driver because my results haven't been there yet. eventually soon.......

Unless you're really nasty you'll be lucky to get into the d main at the dnc. Two really good guys from the northeast went last year and were in the f main. Just to put in perspective. I'm not knocking you personally so don't take it that way.

Default Sponsored

Getting sponsored today is a lot different than the past. Sponsors look at several things . For example a sponsor will take on a every week racer that puts forth a good effort ,doesn't have to be the top all the time. They promote product and help fellow racers when the can. Going to big races and doing well helps , but most sponsors today want there drivers in local tracks racing every week promoting there product. Hope this helps. Team Gq USA

Hmm... is that really true for the U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Class? I always thought that you had to prove that you can beat the fastest R/C drivers in order to get sponsored.

Being sponsored is more for our ego, then to save on racing expenses. Since we usually spend any money we save on parts/cars/fuel, etc. on things we might not have bought if racing was only for fun on the weekends.
Once sponsored you will find yourself wanting to travel to bigger races, take time off work, school, etc and spend far more then you would have keeping it fun.

just a thought.
