Anyone out there going to Sin city for the event?

I am looking for any information on setup - mainly tires, track temp , etc.

Later all - Wilde

Does anyone know of the tire rules for expert nitro touring class at the nats, foam or rubber? Need to know so to stock up on what I need. Info not on Norrca or las vegas websites. Thanks.

All Nitro classes are rubber I believe.

The complete NORRCA rules are at: http://www.norrca.com/2001rules.htm

There's usually a thread over at Trinity Tech Talk were the club members answer questions about the race and so on. You just have to look for it because their board crashes almost daily.

As for the tires, yes it is rubber only.

The thread on Trinity has something in the subject line about the extension of the deadline.

From what it looks like, there should be close to 180 drivers! Not a bad turnout.

They actually only have a little over 125 entries as of right now. They're hoping to get 180 total and more Team Driver entries with everyone bailing out of the Off-Road Worlds.

The ROAR Nats. had 250 and that made for some loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggg days so I'm hoping they run it efficiently if the # does get up to 150+. Since I'm only in 1 class, I’ll have a lot of time to kill if they do get up to 180 .

Mark -

yes you are correct that 125 or so are registered. The issue about the worlds should make for some interesting attendees.

As for all of the extra time??? its Vegas baby!!! Lots to do. I'm just trying to get out of the heat of phoenix for a couple of days!!
but I do agree - as I am only running one class too.

See all is Vegas!
