the compound & dekar058 appear to be the two lead guys on this thread so I think they are the two in charge but I honestly don't know who else might be if anyone else.

I just found this thread and I'm stoked! Closest indoor track to me and I'll be watching the progress

Sorry if it's been asked, but will there be parts etc on hand and food of any sort?

Parts will be stocked for some of the more common kits in the near future, right now we are just trying to get it up and running by the end of this month. As far as food you are in luck, its actually attached to a diner/dairy bar that will be open during racing and practice. They have great food and ice cream!

The "Miyagi" of the real stock class is coming down to show us all a thing or two. Unless you don't run your slash anymore?

The repeated quad at the barn was awesome with the sc10 4wd.

Thumbs up First Post

OK fellas...first post on rctech and it's here in support of "The Compound"!!

New to rc trucks and my stepson and I are receiving Losi xxx sct and an scb for Xmas. Anyone care to weigh in on what exactly constitutes "stock" at "The Compound"? What I'm looking for is: stock tires only? Box stock motor or any ROAR stock motor? If it's the true stock motor, can I cut the caps out of the lines between the end bell and the ESC? TLR kit ok or not? 2s lipo ok or nimh only? Break it down for me...inquiring mind want to know!!

Thanks for the question. The Compound's stock class will be box stock. The only modifications allowed are you can use the tires, esc or motor from any of the stock rtr brushed kits ie. Slash, blitz, xxx sct as well as 2 cell lipos. No modifications to the motor. You can also use rpm arms and carriers if you wish for durability to help from breakage. As far as the scb, if we get enough of them they will have their own class if not they will run in 2wdthe buggy or novice if your son is new to racing. Any other questions feel free to ask.

You could run your XXX-SCT in stock 2wd sct if you leave it as is. If you use the TLR kit you will be placed into OPEN, then you could perform your motor modifications.

To clarify and break down the classes and organization a little more they will be as follows....

RTR Esc only(can be swapped between manufactures)

ALL HEATS WILL BE 5 MIN LONG.

ALL MAINS WILL BE 6 MIN LONG.

HEATS WILL BE STARTED INDIVIDUALLY (WHEN YOUR NAME IS CALLED), ALL MAINS WILL BE STARTED ON THE TONE (GRID SET-UP) AT THE SAME TIME.

We will have point series races, fun events, enduros, money races, non-marshall races, and other events as we progress. The above mentioned classes and organization is for our start up. Once we get going and know what everyone wants to run will open more classes.

Any questions ask.

Thanks,
The Compound
