Smile Long Island, NY- Willis Hobbies

Anyone ever been to or race at Willis Hobbies in Mineola, Long Island, New York. Just re-formatted the track and it is super fast. I for one race there and have a really good time. Anyone else go? LMK.

hey alberto, this is a bit off topic...
how do you mantain your batteries? i think it's finally time for me to get a few decent race packs that aren't 2400s and i'm asking around for opinions on how to take care of them. for some reason i remeber you using the discharge down to 0.9v/storing/equalizing down to 0.0v before charge method.
btw, jon, did you see the deal promatch is running!?!?! 1.169s for $29!

I saw Pro match selling 3 promatch for 109 which is an awesome deal but not that one. Anyways for battery maintence

Charge packs at 6amps and then after your run you should discharge them at 30 amps and the cutoff at 5.40v i think and then tray them down to .9v. I think someone might need to back me up on that, but i think thats correct.

from what i heard, the best method was to store them like that(0.9v) then discharge them on a tray with 0.0v cutoff, like the octane 2, for 10 minutes, then charge.

ok this is what i do but opinions are like bung holes everyone's got 1

on a brand spanking new pack dont ask me why but i slow charge them the day before i use then after this is what i do...

the day before a race i discharge the packs and then tray till .9v then charge a 6amps and peak at any where from 30 to 50mv..... let cool off then pack away till the next day.......

the day of racing (or practis) i recharge at 6 amps and a lower peak volitage..0

after the run i discharge them and charge again at 6amps 30mv peak .... and there all set for the next heat...I dont not run my good packs more the twice day. However th b*ll sh*t packs i beat the piss out of and will run it as many times i want....

At the end of the day all packs get discharged down to .9 cooled then stored till next week.I never store a pack with less then .9mv if you dont use them the following week put a couple of min charge in them..storage for a long time i put a full charge in them....

hope this helps once again it is only my opinion... What you do is up 2 u good luck WILL!!!!

whoa...thanks alot man. I picked up one of those rayspeed trays for NiMH, but then I realized i had another 4 beater 2400s coming in the mail! dohhhh!
So, no gp3300s for me until i can kill a few of my sanyos. shouldn't take too long.

we need to turn this into a bash thread...then we'll get some posters.
