Huge Midwest Points Series, Local Joe 2.0
It's back! One of the best points series in the Midwest makes its return in 2011
We dedicate the series this year to the memory of Ernie Parker, a friend that we lost entirely too soon.
BIGGER AND BETTER
In 2010, the Local Joe Series was a 4 race points series between the Asylum Xtreme in Louisville, KY and the Reo Raceway in Rockport, Indiana. With the focus on providing great races and giving back to the area racers, the series was a huge success as entries neared 100 at each of the 4 stops.
In 2011, SRI Raceway has been added to the schedule and the total number of races in the series has been increased to 6. The goal is still the same as all 3 tracks aim to provide local racers with with the experience of a major series at a fraction of the cost. The family atmosphere will bring in the faces we are used to seeing on a regular race weekend. The great competition will bring the racers looking to take the hardware and bragging rights back to their hometown. Will the locals be able to defend the home tracks or will someone who is not a "local joe" take away the win? The racing is going to be unbelievable, the track layouts will be top of the line and we are going to establish the area as the place to be for the best racing in the region.
Racers will be competing for trophies that can only be rivaled by the nation's best events, as well as bragging rights to being known as the area's best.
