Default VA State Championship Series 2011 (RCRNV, VORRA, Debbie's RC)

All,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the VA State Championship Series for 2011. Over the past few weeks, I've been in contact with Rick, Eric, and Chris (Owners/POC's) at each of the Va tracks. We've exchanged several drafts, ideas and concerns, and came up with the final plan.

I would like to thank the racers and track owners for their interest in making this happen. I know it's early, but we wanted to get this out before the new year so that we could all start planning our weekends. It looks like 2011 is going to be a great year as not only do we have this series to look forward to but Jackson RC is going to be hosting the 2011 On-road Electric Nationals, in NJ. Congrats to them and we look forward to a great racing year!!

VIRGINIA STATE ON-ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

The Radio Controlled Racers of Northern Virginia (RCRNV/Manassas), the Virginia On Road Racing Association (VORRA/Richmond) and Debbie’s RC World (DRCW/Va. Beach) will host the 2011 Virginia State On Road Championship Series.

This will be a six race series, with each site hosting two of the six races.
One race will be conducted per month, in the months April through September.

Each entrant will have one “throw out” race so that the “best 5 of 6” finishes will be counted for overall series points position.
Points will be awarded in the standard 100 points for 1st place, 99 for 2nd place etc, format.

HOST SITES /DATES
RCRNV will host the races on April 3, and July 10
DCRW will host the races on May 7 and August 6
VORRA will host the races on June 5 and September 3

If you’re track normally runs nitro or other classes as part of their weekly club race we encourage you to still run those classes during this series.

GENERAL COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Race procedures and vehicle specifications will be in accordance with ROAR rules / guidelines.
All classes will have 2 rounds of qualifying and a main evenet.
All heats and mains will be six (6) minutes in duration.
All heats will use “IFMAR/staggered” starting and all mains will be “tone /heads up” starts.
Winner of a “B main will” have the option to bump up to the “A main”.

ENTRY FEES
$20 for up to two classes. Maximum 2 classes

Hotel Promo Code (Debbie’s RC only)
Contact Eric via PM DRCW Raceway on RCTech

Awards
Trophies will be awarded on Septemeber 3rd

MAKE-UP DATES
No “make-up dates” If a race cannot be held on its assigned date, it will be “dropped” and points totals adjusted accordingly. Since this is a “travel” series, host tracks are urged to make and announce any cancellation decision as early as possible.

It's going to be a good time for sure. We are working on a few surprizes as well for the series. More details to follow as we get closer.
