I hope ROAR doesn't offer too many classes. It would be a shame to see turnout at this track suffer because of there being too many options. Hopefully they'll keep some sort of Stock and Mod variation of Sedan and let that be it. There is no need for anything else at this level.

R2D2, 13.5(0) and mod only? how's that sound?

hell make manufs release 13.5 or even 15.5 '0' adjust motors. another excuse for them to self a swath of motors too!

hey guys,
lets not make too big an issue out of the classes 9 months out, realistically prob gonna see a class structure pretty close to the asphalt nats at nor-cal, plus one class that popular to the local scene. we got two trophy races with 150 plus entries so i dont think turnout is going to be an issue at all. i am more concerned with the 250 entry cap that roar mandates and how fast the race is gonna fill up. . .

Yeah I mean why would they offer the most Popular class in the country? That makes absolutley no sense. It was the biggest class at Jackson all summer last summer and the biggest class at the last 2 IIC's and the Onroad nats the last 2 years. Lets just cut out that class altogether and force people to race only 1 Touring class. That should really entice touring drivers to spend thousands of dollars and take a week off of work to run for 25 minutes.

I know that Al, Chris and the boys will do whats best for their track and that is not kill the class with the biggest turnout for them for the last few years. The super stock class.

ok... thanks...

I guess I should have worded that clearer. I don't see why we'd need 3 classes of 1/10 sedan PLUS the potential of having USVTA, making 4 total 1/10 sedan classes. I don't care if it is open mod or 13.5. Either way it's in ROAR's hands and I'm fully aware that the JRC guys will do their best to put on a great show. Nobody ever questioned that! Did someone forget to pass to you today? Relax, everyone all wants the best race possible.

maryland/PA guys,

victorK and i were talkin bout nats down at mimi's yesterday and he hit me w/somethin i didnt think bout. i dont think i'm alone on this oversight either. he mentioned how tough its gonna be on the wallet with hotel prices near the shore during beach season. i looked them up last nite and was horrified at the #s coming back. well i guess i picked the right girl and perhaps i forget that some times, b/c kate suggested what her family does all the time for vacations/family gatherings...renting a house.

so i throw the idea out there nice and early in hopes that as many of you get a better deal and save some bread to be better used towards a tire bill.

so, renting a house for nats? thoughts?

ultra,
while it is true that hotels are a little more expensive near the jersey shore, we at jackson are aware and have a couple hotels "off the path" that are still only about a 20 min drive to the track. if you wanna do some searching on your own we are zip code 08527. also i know some of the MD/NY guys have a couple good cheap places nearby feel free to chime . . .

Weather Update . . .Temps reaching 40* today in the northeast, if one foot of snow melts that only leaves one left on the track!!!

Can't wait for this race.

Mainly because it means the 24 hour race is right around the corner.
