Default CRCRC Annual Halloween Electric Off-Road Trophy Race

CRCRC Annual Halloween Electric Off-Road Trophy Race

Saturday October 30, 2010

This year only an electric race will be held, and it will be held on Saturday by popular request to allow more out of town racers to attend. Last year's event had 154 entries, check out the race coverage from last years event HERE.

To support the trophies, the race fees will be slightly increased from the club program to $18 first entry, $7 second entry, $5 all additional entries, per racer. Trophies will be handed out for first through fifth in all classes. CRCRC is planning a completely fresh track layout for this race.

There will be ample practice time on Saturday morning before the race, track opens at 8AM, Racing starts at 11AM. In addition, there will be an open practice held Friday night 6-10PM (Friday night practice is $5 per racer).

Electric Classes:

Open Buggy
Open Truck
Open 4wd
17.5 Buggy
17.5 Truck
Open 2wd SCT
Open 4wd SCT
17.5 SCT
Rookie

If you have questions, post here, PM me, or send e-mail to [email protected]

Finally, CRCRC will also be holding a regular club race on Sunday after the Halloween race if you want to make a weekend of it...normal club race fees $15/$5, but if you race on Saturday your second entry on Sunday will be free.

It's all cool BigDaddy. There is an open class there a LOT of guys are running very competitively with 13.5 motors in so no problems whatsoever.

The overwhelming majority think 17.5 is the way to go to stock, because as you agreed, 13.5 is too fast. We did a fair amount of research before making the decision...it was not a snap judgement. We certainly didn't do it to screw out of towners...local guys, many of which helped make the decision, were all in the same boat. It's all done to be progressive for the betterment of RC racing in the area. Sorry there was a change, but it's not like 13.5 was just installed as stock last season and we changed it right away. Embrace the change; It'll do you good.

Tell you the truth, you probably could sell your 13.5's on the CRCRC forums easy, or bring them to the race with you...as I said, lots of local guys are still running them.

See you at the race...if you want to still come out and have a great time with a bunch of great racers! No need to go out and buy new motors. If you don't want to come out...that's cool with me too.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hrm, I may have to consider doing this... curious who else from Cinci will go up? Would be a great time to really shake out the SC-R.

This could be one of the biggest club races we have had. I'm not sure how many will chime in here though since CRCRC has it's own active forums. For more information about the race check www.crcrc.com
