Default Short Course Shootout trophy race in NY

Barnstormers Raceway in Chester NY is holding a Short Course Shootout race on 7/25/2010. This will be a trophy race held on their huge outdoor track. Here is a link to the info http://www.barnstormersrc.com/events...e_shootout.pdf

Here is a link to the rules http://www.barnstormersrc.com/sc_spec_guidelines.pdf

There will be 2wd spec, 2wd mod, 1/10th 4x4 open, and 1/8th 4x4 open.

They run a great program and there will be both indoor pits and outdoor pits both with electric. There is an air compressor on site as well as tire and truck cleaning stations. You can expect a mix of very talented drivers as well as beginners. This is my home track and I would like to see some from this forum show up.

You can check out my You-tube page to see videos from other races held there. Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/user/jjlove1217

Sweet. I found out today that Vegas Fuel will be there with a trophy girl and samples. They are also planning a cool prize.

What's the rules for "Spec"? My truck is setup with a 17.5 brushless and I replaced the servo, that's the way its staying.

My mod truck has a 10.5, 17.5 brushless is actually slower than the stock brushed motors. I only run a 25c Lipo too. I was aloud to run this truck in stock class on several occasions at the Barn.

Maybe Chris can clarify this, I know a ton of guys who race stock class with this exact setup. Hate to see them get turned away.

I run two trucks!! Both HPI Blitz's. One stock, 17.5 brushless(ROAR 27T EQUIVALENT) and I run mod with a 10.5! Bolth trucks have after market servos and on the stock truck, I run the stock tires with a 25c lipo!! I have 5 to 10 guys asking the same question waiting for an answer. If its a kit spec only for stock they don't wanna come!!

Ok...due to demand we are tweaking the classes a little bit.

The classes will be as follows:

Spec Slash: Only 2wd Slash trucks in their kit form. See link to rules posted above to what is allowed. Most important is kit motor, esc, servo, and tires must be used. No S1 tires. 2s lipo or 7 cell limit.

2wd Stock: Any 2wd SC chassis running any esc, servo, with a limit of a 27t brushed or 17.5 brushless and a 2s limit. Kit tires must be run. No S1 or HPI soft compound.

2wd Mod: Any 2wd SC chassis running any esc, servo, motor, with a 2s lipo or 7 cell limit. Any 2.2 x 3.0 SC tires, no 1/8th scale buggy tires.

1/10th 4wd open: Any 1/10 scale 4x4 SC chassis with any upgrades running 1/10th scale motor with a 2s or 7 cell limit. Only 2.2 x 3.0 SC tires, no 1/8th scale buggy tires.

1/8th 4wd open: Any 1/8th scale 4x4 chassis like the SC8. Conversions from other manufactures will be allowed using a truggy chassis with buggy arms. Tires must fit under the SC8 body. No 1/8th scale buggy tires. 2.2 x 3.0 tires will fit the kit rims and will be allowed. No motor or battery limit.

Please show up early so we can hash out any other concerns. Thanks.

I'll take being a slash-hole anyday over being a dancing gas-hole like you!
