Yeah, that's the track I'm closest to. I haven't raced there yet, only practiced.

Any big touring car races coming up in the future in Denver area? I am from Wyoming, and looking for races close to me.

I hear there's going to be a big race at the Westminster Hobby Town sometime in the fall. I guess it's called the "Fall Classic" .

I'm new to this and havn't started racing yet - just finished my car the other day. I was thinking about running wed nites in Westminster (Stock Touring) and see if I can't get myself to a level where I could compete in one or both of these big races without being a total embarassment.

The Fall Classic will probably be in Fort Collins where it was in the past. They are still looking for a site. They just had the Spring Fling indoors at the Westminister store.

Superfly1967- The Fort Collins track has a good turnout every weekend. Usually about 70 racers. I have the flyer for the racing at Fort Collins, I can scan and email it or post it.

I'm in Westminster too. The racing is rather split between really extreme (good) racers and slow ones, lol. It's difficult for an experienced hack to fit in, hehe.

What kind of car are you going to run? I'm planning on running wed's nights too.

I was planning on running Stock Touring. Until this morning I had an Epic Binary 2 Outlaw Stock motor (amazing how much damage one misplaced screw can do to an armature ). I still plan on doing Stock Touring though - maybe just not with THAT motor.

I'm planning on Wed for a couple reasons. I manage timing and scoring at two kart tracks in the area (IMI and Bandimere), so that effectively cancels a lot of Sundays. It seems as though the more experienced drivers race on Sundays, leaving Wednsday just a tad more ammenable to the rookie (read slower) driver such as myself. Not thsat I have a problem running with more experienced drivers, but I've found that in most forms of racing rookies holding up the old hands doesn't go over all that well. When I can run 5 minutes without turning left when I want to turn right, then I'll consider Sunday racing.
