Htu Va Beach Carpet Trophy Race
Thanks for checking out our thread. We at HobbyTown in Virginia Beach have scheduled a Indoor Ozite Trophy Race for SATURDAY MARCH 20th.
The doors will open at 9:00 a.m. and registration will close at 11:45 a.m. SHARP. Cost per class will be $15.00. We use the AMBrc lapcounting system, there is no additional cost for using our public transponders. Our most common classes are:
1/10th Stock Sedan / 19T
1/12th Scale Stock / 19T
1/10th Stock Truck
1/10th OPEN MODIFIED
If anyone wants to run the Novak Brushless system and there are enough entries for OPEN MODIFIED the Brushless will be allowed to run with OPEN MODIFIED. If 3 Brushless entries are present at the close of registration a seperate class for Brushless will be made. This will also be dependent of the OPEN MOD drivers agreement to run with Brushless if necessary. Usually they don't mind.
We will be giving out Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in atleast the top 3 mains of all classes. Depending on turnout. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post here or call me at HobbyTown 757-464-4140.
It looks to be the biggest race we have had yet, we average 60 - 70 entries during a Trophy Race. I understand serious racers from the Northern part of Virginia are looking to come down as well as the North Carolina crew coming up. We hope to break 80 entries with this race, so make plans to be here.

USA whats up. I will be at the race as I am sure some more guys from NC will be coming as well. Just wondering is their anyway the track could be open Friday evening the night before the race. If it could be then I think alot of the out of town guys could just come in Friday get some time on the track, then just spend the night at the beach and not have to get up real early to drive in Sat. Just a thought, either way I will be seeing you guys for this race. Looking forward to it. Kevin Mac.

I will look into it, it doesnt look like a problem. If it works out we will just have a practice night with a $5.00 fee. The AMBrc system will be in use in the store for the 1/18th races , so no practice laptimes will be available. I will let you know something in the next day or so. There is a hotel about 2 minutes from the track if you want the info I will look into it.

Cool Sean hope it works out, I think I have had enough racing without sleep. Let know and we will try to round up a crowd from the "Wood". Later Kevin Mac.

Sounds good, I will make planes for you all if needed.
Sleep is good. Especially if you attended the SnowBirds. 3 a.m. practice will take it out of you real quick.

Hey Sean, does that mean your'e flying us in, HAHA, Lol. If you do have a Friday practice, let us know how late it will go. I don't close until 6, and I'm still 3 hour's away. I'll probably head down for some practice in a couple week's anyway.
