If you are going to be in or around the chicago land area the weekend of September 27th (Sunday), and love the thought of being surrounded by SCTs for as far as the eye can see... Then don't miss this event! In fact make a special trip, this event will have you looking back "Now this is why I bought this here SCTer!" Give aways from Jconcepts, a new SC10, and much much more! SCTers feel free to sign up in advance and view the already preregistered drivers at www.rcsignup.com/index.cfm (over 20 sct preregistered as of 9/20 and expecting 10 to 15 walk ons), click on tracks/clubs and find illinois, look for Outback in Marengo, IL. All other racers can register the day off! Yes, after one preregisters, you will notice this is a free event... Thats right Free (donations are gladly accepted)! Spend your money on parts, food and gas to get you here, but don't miss this event! Here is the lay out for the day!

September 27, Sunday
7AM -- Bob n crew will be setting up the utilities, don't come just yet -- well if you had to come early, don't park where crew is running the cords and hoses just yet.
8AM -- you could arrive if you like setting up camp and getting ready early.
9AM -- computer will be running for open practice - if you don't know how our transponders work, this is your chance to get it figured out.
10AM - 10:20AM -- open registration at the camper, signup is free. Donations are accepted over at the back of the drivers' stand in the big red tube -- totally optional and no pressure. Make sure you signup during this time because here is where each driver can get their name on the list for prize drawings at the award ceremony. Yup, read that twice, you actually have to be present at registration time and at the end of the day to be drawn for any of the awesome free prizes, including the free SC-10.
10:20AM - 10:45AM -- Crew has to figure out classes and get grids posted.
10:45AM -- Track crew will look at watering needs. Drivers meeting begins We will discuss the pace of the day, how long we expect rounds to take, watering schedule, marshaling, etc. Look at your grid listing and go get ready!
11:00AM -- Sharp. The horn will sound at 11:00 for the start of the first qualifier.

Throughout the day, raflle tickets will be available for a 50/50 raffle.


SCT Mains E, D, C, B, ... A! be ready for bump ups.

Take a few minutes to gather everyone to the drivers stand for awards ceremony. Track Photographer will be at the event to get some good shots throughout the day.

Award plaques for the SCT Showdown.

50/50 raffle winner announced and awarded.

Draw for prizes if you registered at the camper between 10:00 and 10:20 earlier in the day.

This is the event that you have put long hours of maintance, repair and many many track hours of practice and racing, all summer long to prepare your self to see where you fall among all these SCTers! Be there!!!!
