AE Headlines the First U.S. Open Carpet Oval Championships
Team Associated is proud to announce their title sponsorship of the First Annual U.S. Open Carpet Oval Championships at Radical Rick’s Race City, Swansea, Massachusetts. The event is scheduled for March 12, 13 and 14th, and will feature not only Team Associated’s world-class factory team drivers, but also many other of the top names in RC oval racing. A special youth class will also be featured for those looking to make it more of a family event.
Radical Rick’s Race City is located in Swansea, Massachusetts. Designed and built by "Radical" Rick Martin, a top New England Pro Stock Driver, the 26,000 square foot Supercenter boasts three R/C racing tracks, two 25 foot slot car tracks, a NASCAR racing arcade, a full service R/C retail store and a full service pizzeria.
Radical Rick’s super oval features 275 feet of lanes, approximately 25 feet wide with professional scoring. They also have a 5,000 square foot private pit area with full electrical support.
Radio Control Car Action magazine (www.rccaraction.com) has agreed to be the official publication of the race, and watch Team Associated’s website (www.rc10.com) and Radical Rick’s website (www.radicalricks.com) for more upcoming information including a complete schedule of events.
