Default Roar Region 1 1/8,200mm, GT and !World GT! Regional and exhibition race

Okay racers time is coming close. July 10-11-12

Controlfreakz Raceway and Nercar Present the Roar Region 1 1/8 open and 1/10 .12 200mm nitro regionals.

We will also be having two exhibition classes as the event

GT(igt) Buggy based sedan-includes any buggy based car with .28 or smaller basic pull start/roto engine. Rubber tires required and sedan/gt style of body required

World GT/Proten electric- Detail about this class are still being worked out.

The CRC crew has commited to attend and showed interest in including this class at the event. Frank promised to bring 6 of his local racers and we are holding him to it!

Still looking to work out details about this class as far as motor and battery limit....now is the time to voice your request...this was a last minute request but Frank is going to dust of an 1/8 car and come to race....so we figured we could include a GT class .

Not to familiar with the area. What are you recommended or host hotels close to the track?

Dm1/igt- any rubber tire is allowed most run ofna premounts or ipanema premounts.

Hotel- I get additional info 1 exit south their is a couple of hotels I get some info.

Worldgt/235- Looks like we are going with 7.4 lipo or 6 cell. Motor is still up in the air. 13.5 seems to be the choice at this point as most people have 13.5 anyway.

Full out modified may be to much horsepower...however I would like to see it!

Tentative practice 7/5- No racing this sunday but we are having a practice day for club members. If you are not a club member practice fee applies.

Check back toward end of week we are looking to confirm practice day.

Just wanted to mention that a lot of guys are expecting 45 & 30 minutes for the A & B mains respectively, unless the weather determines otherwise which is understandable.

Is it possible to have 4 rounds of qualifying on Saturday, since we aren't running mains that day. We should have plenty of time to get it all in. Just a thought!

Is there any hotel info available yet?

Thanks,
Kelly Lambre'

4 rounds on Saturday would put too much pressure on the host facility to keep things in line. It also takes some pressure off the racers, you're not spending all day getting ready for the next heat.

So raise the back of the body to put more downforce on the nose!

I'm just kidding. They probably would be too much to handle with 3 or 4 turn motors. It just kills me we have that much HP available in electric and no one wants to use it.

Seeing as how we are not charging packs in between rounds like electric races I don't see how that would put pressure on the racers. If the host facility feels that it is too much then I understand that but the racers would enjoy that extra round. Especially since I have heard that we may have several drivers from the south making the trip

my .02

Any idea as to how long the mains will be?
