Default Race update for Hobby Hut

Ok Guys,

I have spoken to the Hobby Hut crew and the race will be on Sunday the August 23rd. This will give the local racers a chance to shine as some of them can not race on Sat. like the rest of the series races. We will have sign up Sunday morning but I am hoping you guys can post your class and PT as we get closer to the race.

If we can get everbody into the computer early, we should be able to run 3 rounds and the mains and have you home in plenty of time to get some sleep.

Thanks

Kevin Boyle

Yes they are still at Blue Diamond, I just firmed up the date with Don and we are looking at Sept. 12-13. We are going to run Truggy and Monster Truck on Saturday and Buggy on Sunday.

Keep the questions coming

I know alot of people race both Buggy and Truggy do you think you have enough time to race them both on the same day that way it can be a 1 day event for those people and not a 2 day?

Kevin- The best thing you can do is have this event in one day!! I repeat one day! It was done last year at the hut, and there was monster truck, truggy and buggy. No problems at all. I think less is best and to seperate the truggy and buggy into two different days you are going to lose alot of interest from people that run both classes, and those that run one class. I say you have it the 12th, with a rain date of the 13th. I could see if you have 150 entrys for the race then it would be a different story. But I cannot see that happening until you actually pick a date and stick to it.

Guys,

I am firm on the two days and it will be the 12-13. Back in the day we had two day races and they turned out fine. I want the racers to enjoy the race and not be thrashing in the pits to fix their cars or mount tires. Because we can never count on a firm # of racers it would be hard for the guys running two classes to stay up on their Buggies/Truggies if there was an issue. Being that this will be my last ROAR Nitro directed race, I think this will be the best thing for all parties.

Hope to see you guys there.

Ok,

I think we might have a winner on how we can all pull of great event. What would you guys think if we ran the Buggy part of the Regional in the morning and race the Truggies/MT at night. I can only speak for myself but I would rather focus on one class and then switch gears to the second class. The attendence has not be the greatsest over the years and for those of us running two classes this would seem fair. Your thought are always welcome

Steve,

Yep something like that

Guys just to let you know we are lookng to put a solid bid in for the 2010 ROAR Nationals to be held @ Blue Diamond. The track location is great and I know we could pull it off. I hope to be working with Don to make his track the home of the 2010 ROAR Fuel 1/8th Nationals.

I think just run it like a normal day of racing. No need to have eveyone wait around that is running one or the other. Just start at 10am.
