Default lrp v7.1 burn up

has anybody ever seen one of these speed controls burn up for no aparent reason.

Yes, seems like the early batch of them did this.

My friend just sent it in to AE and they sent him a new one.

I had a lrp crisp itself for no reason. If it was a car problem the new one would have crisped as soon as I put it in. Haven't had another problem since.
It was about a month old. Happened last spring.

what was the problem with the car cause i have 2 identical trucks and the other one has the v7.1 in it. tried getting ahold of associated what a joke that is.

That was my point' I could not find a problem. put a new controller in it and no problems.

so did associated do anything for ya? they pretty much told me oh well . they said i could send it in and they would tell me how much it would cost to fix it.

I saw one smoke this weekend....

WOW did it smoke.....

Melted into the chassis of a XXX........

You could smell it 150' away......

I will ask him if they did anything....
