Admins: If this isn't the proper place for this thread please let me know where to post it.

I would like some input from the experts on what type of dirt formula makes for the best off-road tracks. I am in Connecticut so clay is hard to come by and top soil is expensive but doable.

Any suggestions? Also what can you mix into it and what effect will it have. Broad question I know but I want all kinds of ideas. My search didn't turn up any similar threads. Also what's the best way to keep it weed free? I think I heard of someone putting rock salt down. Could that be right?
