Default 2008 Detroit Radio Control Car Club outdoor onroad season

We will start racing this Sunday! Sorry for the short notice and delay about getting a site together this year (long story), but better late than never. The Detroit Radio Control Car Club will start the season outdoors this Sunday at Kart 2 Kart in Sterling Heights. It took the pig roast event to seal the deal last Friday to prove it was possible to the staff of K2K and thanks to all who came out. This will be the first race of the season and the initial intent is to have a regular schedule about every 2 weeks. We will also hold a club meeting before racing begins to take in everyone's input about events this season.

*Where: Kart 2 Kart 42705 Van Dyke Ave (s. of 19 Mile) Sterling Heights
When: Sunday May 4th
**Time: 10am setup, 12-6pm Racing
Classes: Classes for this season will be discussed after our club meeting. I hope to maintain a electric touring class and novice class (such as mini cooper/mabuchi/trans-am) bring anything out you want to race. No class is out of the question.
Costs: $decided on at club meeting$

*Full Season info and dates will be scheduled, roughly every 2 weeks till the end of the season.
**K2K will supply electricity, and won't open until about 12 noon, however staff will be there by 11am

FYI- the track we setup is going to be very different than what we had in the past. It will be more geared towards 1/10th electric onroad TC's. It will not be like (at this time) the 1/8th onroad type of the past. We will be using a road rail system and most likely won't be using the driver's stand (bring something to stand on if you like). This first race will host a club meeting to talk about classes and how the track will be for this year. We will even discuss what day's and time's will will for this years schedule. The Key is to make this work for as many people as possible for the most fun. So Come out and lets race!
