Default Hot Rod Hobbies website

Do any of you Calif. guys know what's up with this site? It seems to have been down for at least 6 weeks. I can't get it no matter how I try to link.

I know Jimmy Babcock recently bought the place, and the website talked about making changes. But then it disappeared. What's up??

Jimmy is working on a few thangs and I think the web site and name of the location might change. As soon as it is available, you can believe that you will see it everywhere!

Thanks ROD for the years of excellence. Jimmy you have some big steps to feel, but we know most of your efforts showed assisting ROD and we can expect the UNEXPECTED!

Site seems to be back up now, unchanged from before.

Talked to Jimmy in Tampa and he said the Shootout will be July 18 - 20. That's what the flyer on the site says too. Must be gonna happen.

There's supposed to be a page on their site that has all the entries for upcoming races. It's supposed to start with the Shootout. We sent them our entry a month ago, but the page isn't working yet. Since they haven't cashed the check yet, we're wondering if they got the entry!!

Guess I'll have to get their phone number from the web site & call them the old way...

I always said this new-fangled stuff wouldn't work.

I had a blast at the 00 shootout, only bad thing was how hot it was in the summer heat. We had 3 fans in our canopy and it was still unbareable.

What car are you driving? Kinda hard to give a setup that will work with every RC car made.

front tires: 4wd silver tapers (silver or red) or 7202 (red or silver
rear tires: Bk Bars (red) work the best with either bomb1 grey or
proline 2stage blue white

the kinwald edition setup works really good there (high bite track) or any other high bite setup will work well.

Wow taper fronts, with bk's you must need a lot of forward traction. Thanks

Hello Everyone! Well I've been reading all the post in here and I just want to clear up a few things. Rod did NOT sell Hot Rod Hobbies to me yet. Rod still owns the place and will be the owner for a while to come. I am, however, first in line if and when the time comes. This years Hot Rod Hobbies Offroad Shootout will be held on July 18-20, 2003. We already have 250 pre entries and climbing. Our website is up and running at www.hotrodhobbies.com. It's a relatively new site designed by one of our local racers by the name of Lizard. He has done an excellent job and the site has never looked better! Know that I know about this site I will come visit more often so if you have any more questions please feel free to post them here! Thanks,
Jimmy Babcock
