between 80-120 for the whole system... i doubt it will be that expensive, this would also be a good choice for FF03:

90 bucks comes with program card and other goodies, very consistent and smooth!

Hanging in the pits with a friend racing Formula Drift final at Irwindale won out over Fun Race. If I'm back before the next fun race, I will be there for some GT-2 fun. Might be last chance to race turbo esc and 17.5 at Tamiya.

Come out and bring out alot of people to run17.5 boosted, and also reverse track layout, hopefully we can change up the track so it can be a challenge

Did I read the rules correctly? There's no GT3, even though it was the 3rd most popular.

it should not be, it's called GT1... unless people start sand-bagging again for the japan trip.

Yep- I wish there was a GT3 class, but how much is too much. I have a car for every class so it doesn't matter to me. It's allways been about fun and next year won't be any different.

At TRACKSIDE, OMAHA, and MEMPHIS it was the 2nd biggest class!
If you were to look the past few years, it has grown into leaps and bounds.

The rules are bad ! ! !
Tamiya better rethink GT3, many who race the series will probably be turned off, myself included.

I don't see the logic in eliminating GT3. It makes no sense to me. If you want to eliminate issues over motors, eliminating the class is simplistic way to do it. Let me get this straight. You eliminate one of the most popular classes and that's an improvement.

Looks like the GT2 is the replacement for GT3?
Spec motor but not silver can so no RPM limits to look out for, tub chassis?
Am I missing something?

F1 including foam is cool but still no F103, bummer.
Why not brushless in the F1s too? hint, hint
Still have to dick with silver cans and teching RPM etc.?
Gonna fix a gearing like mini and do random handouts per round then?

What will the Brushless 18t be equal to in the real world?
Looks like it will only be useful at TCS races?
Nice that it will stop all the Silver Can BS, at least in the TC classes.

Couple thoughts

If GT3 barely had a handful to fill a main, I could see moving on from it.
I only see this as a death nail for sedan. GT3 was the only class keeping the GT series of classes alive. Why do you think people went from GT1 to GT2 to GT3... The rules and the money.

Here we go now. To run GT1 or GT2 you have to buy new ESC, Motor and Tires. None of which you would want to run locally. Why would I want to invest in a system for 1 race? If Trackside is a no go for pavement and Memphis too much for me next year why would I want a system for 1 race! GT3 has moaning and groaning but, then why do people keep running it? I would say let the lack-of-participation kill the class, not new technology.

Sure I can run F1, which is cool but I am not a huge fan of.
I do have a FF03 but then again I have to buy a BL system.
Mini I can run but not really excited about it especially in TCS.

So basically unless I want to run F1 or Mini too bad unless I become factory driver to afford all the rule changes, making me ineligible for the series. I am surprised Mini, F1 and Spec did not become BL to fulfill the ravings of the purists.

Thanks Tamiya for the series and good luck on your future!
Any questions, Tamiya has my number!

So let's do the math. Nobody runs a silvercan besides TCS so Jeff that's excuse is BS. Let's say a person buys 2 red dots this year and 2 next year, that's 170 dollars vs. 1 tamiya esc and motor that will come in at streetvalue of 180 dollars and no voodoo to make it work. I think I will stick with the tamiya system. No more he is cheating. All the bickering about silvercan and now they fix the problem and people cry about it. Get over and let 2011 season begin.
