Or better yet, maybe we can equip Rod's 416 with a 3.5 and aim carefully for the offender's shin

Just one more thing equalizing the racing and ensuring drivers, new and experienced that it is all about the driving and setup and not motor wizardry.
Sucks gettin demoralized by sheer horsepower in "spec" classes.

Really wouldn't leave much to complain about tho.

Minis, 20t pinion

F1, 93 spur/ 22 to 26 pinion (ballpark?), sure a set could be agreed upon.

GT3, I don't run it so have no idea.

The rumor-mill is off to full speed. -
It is sounding like Tech will wrap its tents around the track to handle all the impound issues. It does sound silly to buy a motor for other people to run.

Hope you dont make your living as a stand up comedian, cuz you'll be starving before too long.
If you need a reference, hang out with Koslosky, HE is funny.

Good idea, I might SHOOT by, get it "SHOOT, by Drive-by, get it?
Wow, I better not quit my day job! Due to my "lake" of experience (Tom Slick) shopping at Wallgreens, where are they located in the store?

How about controlled practice where the 2nd car at the driverstand takes out the first then the 3rd driver takes out the 2nd and so on. Lets call it a controlled drive-by practice!

Oh yeah, Mr. Potato head,
I think your singing to the wrong choir. Fred Medel is the person you should talk to as far as changing racing format, not RC tech!
Fred's e-mail is [email protected] just in case you would like to explain to Fred you ideas!
I too must be bored!
Just my 2$

This was actually the first time I've been in a Wallgreens and they were near all the back to school supply area. If you guys want, I can swing by on my way home and buy like a dozen or so and bring them to the track for distribution. Let me know.

Rumor on silver can motors is all three trip classes (GT-3, Mini and F1) will be install and remove motors at tech only. Probably not have a motor swap on GT-3 and F1 because not fixed gearing so a person does not get another persons fried out geared to Pluto motor (that is a moon and no longer a planet) that Hebiki just took out of his car. (he, he - just having fun Chris)

Tom - you forgot you also broke Marty's front wing, back wing and the shrapnel almost took his little F1 drivers head off with that little "brush".
Pluto is for technical tracks. im usually geared to the next galaxy (kinda sucks too, pluto isnt a planet anymore.. just a disney dog. )

Aw, just because I rigged a front spring to come off my car and "Massa-ge" Marty's driver's head...(We can joke about this because Felipe survived and recovered, just so Ferrari could give him team orders to move over for Fernando because they're paying him more)

Suggestions for the raging debate on motor tech and gearing (based on idea of making it possible for tech tent to police these issues without going absolutely off their chum by Sunday):

Mini: handout motors, installed in tech, no motor lube or comm drops

GT3: buy one motor, RPM limited to 13K, unlimited gearing. If you fry your motor, tough titty.

GT2, GT1: same as it ever was

F1: fixed gearing at 93 and 24, will give forgiving motor temps for those without lots of money for two-fan set from R1 Wurks (having said that, their two-fan mount set is really slick)

GT4: limit RPM to 13K,unlimited gearing, and HAVE AT IT! (clash of lightsabers in background)

Spec class: unlimited motor. Let's see them newbies on kit tires really get on it.

Mr. Slick,

I like the fixed gearing idea and the numbers you picked for F1 (and spec. )

Do you guys think F1 should also receive then R & R motors in tech? Takes care of any controversy.
Just allow enough time for everyone to get the gears "mashed" right.
