Thanks..

It was a tough fight... Was swapping spots with and/or just holding off second place up till the last 2hour mark or so.. Chased 1st and finally passed at around the 1hour mark... TOUGH Victory..

Hello everyone.

Thanks for coming out to the Mini 6 Hour Enduro. It was my first time getting to play in a long while. Roger and Gary spearheaded the thing which allowed me to play a little. Congrats to all the winners and a big thanks to all that came from Flagstaff hobbies and the guys from the Ventura Road Runners Club.

TCS Finals are coming up shortly. I have updated the TCS Finals rules to now show what the motor rules are for this new class. Make sure to check here: http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/fe...article-id=233

FWM - I went to the link you posted, but I couldn't find the specifics of GT4.

I checked those rules but I don't see anything for GT4.

Default For the lazy ones...

GT-4 (FF-03) Porsche Cup Challenge
The GT-4 class is an exhibition class that is open to all TCS current and former champions. It
is also open to new racers of the series, RC Media and anyone wishing to participate in this
new and exciting class.
1. Legal chassis platform: FF-03
2. Body Rule: For the TCS Finals the Porsche 911 GT-3 Cup body must be used. There
are two available. Items 51336 and 51361. The kit Polycarbonate wing must be used.
3. Motor rules: The Silver Johnson 540J-two hole slot version, (item 53689), motor
must be used for racing in this class.
4. Batter rules: Any TCS legal battery is legal for this class.
5. Tamiya 24mm tires and spoke wheels only. (Dish wheels are banned from GT-4)
6. Any pinion and spur gear ratio combo is permitted as long as the gear cover fits. The
gear cover must be used. Helpful hint for the Tamiya Track. For a 5 minute race
we have found the optimal final drive to be 3.85. The best spur/pinion combo for this
is 80/54.

Hebiki - Thanks for the rules. That is interesting. According to FWM then, GT4 will only be run at the finals. When I clicked on that link I get a page that starts with "403 Forbidden." The rules you posted are fine. It looks like a fun class.

Default Goin' to the Nats!

Just cleared my calendar and booked my flight for the Nats! It's gonna cost me in the long run, but I just couldn't keep away from the annual fun at the TA track. The FF03 Pro is sitting in the box behind me as I type. Looks like I'll be running GT2 and GT4 this year.

So how 'bout it Gary, you gonna put that TA05v2 together and join me?

I would have thought after your strong showing in Memphis you would have ran GT3?

How soon until you announce the RPM limits for Silvercan motors at the Nats?

A-Ko - I just began working on my M05, but I found a good price on the FF03 Pro. That may be something for Christmas or birthday next Spring. I would like to see them put limits on hop-ups, batteries and specify a gear ratio to make it a true spec class. If they don't it becomes a FWD GT3 class. That may be ok, but for me I would like to see it used like the TT01 spec class they run in Maryland and other places.

All my GT3 electronics are moving over to the FF03, so I will have to back fill with the RS/17.5 and run GT2. That and GT2 is an absolute blast on the TA track!
