I would be a happy camper, I hate gluing tires. Plus it takes another variable out of the equation. Bolt tires on car and race, no messin around with different inserts and all that crap.
Now if they would do Type A's

Great minds think alike. My sx4 is soon to arrive at speedtechrc.com. Lol

Thanks! I did feel the results of GT2 and GT3 should have been swapped around. Seems like surprises are not limited to B-day presents.

Sounds interesting.
I might have 1/2 of the missing results, still looking for it.

I was surprised that there is another battery. I would think they would allow this year's battery and last year's Orion 3400 battery, then you could say it is a 2 year battery rule which I thought they were going for? Is there really a difference besides weight? I know Orion 3400 is DC but people are still running them.

Is Tamiya releasing a pre-mount or is it a militant assemble, glue and stamp your tire before a tech official or is it something to torture Tamiya employees with in a slooow economy by mounting infinate tires?

F1 setting motor RPM to 12,500 might be a little low. I have had a few motors broken in turn higher like 12,600 - 12,900. Not that I care to run F1 but it does favor silver can experts, their friends or people to keep buying motors to keep them under 12,500. Assuming that the motors are checked. . .

I like the premount idea! Glad to see a different spec battery as well especially for GT1. They were going soft in the last minute last year and with the speed control craziness a 5min run is drawing close to 3000mah they would not have done the job.

Looking good. Now if we can just run the NSX..... I am actually starting the like the lexus.

For those that can't go to the TCS Racing tab, then put your cursor over the "rules and regulations" tab, then select the last item "TCS Nationals 2010 rules"

Here is the link:
TCS Nationals 2010 rules main page

Here is a link to the class rules:

Oh well, it will probably still be cheaper in the long run. But I sure would like to see some cost estimates for all the spec gear we have to buy to run GT2 or GT3.

Bummin' about GT4.......Got an FF03 Pro on order at my LHS too.
For GT-3, figure on about $ 240-250 and that will probably buy you (1) battery that will be useless for most anythng else because most people already own 5000mah bats, (2) black can motors that will probably not get used again and (4) sets of premount tires.

You should have been around for the un-limited mod Motor GT-1 with a hand-out spec 1400maHr nicad. Gearing and smooth driving were required to make the 4 min race.

Thumbs down Pre-mounts on GT-2 and GT-1?

This is not right! There must be some kind of mistake! Spec pre-mount tires. What insert is he using. We will have to change set-up completely if it's too hard or too soft an insert. What, we'll have to find a set-up the weekend of the race. What's up with that? This must be a type-o!
Right?
