Maryland/Virginia/Pennsylvania TCS crew sent Ray K and the Red Dot Team to Trackside to take care of some Mini business. Ray K came up a little short.

When we see Ray K, we are going to strap him up to the Coliseum driver's stand and flog him.

Hopefully Ray K extended an olive branch to Erik Wippler to race again in Memphis.

Someone was DQ'd because of a illegal motor... Not sure who it was.. But I know it wasn't Erik.

Tamiya must have some prototype M04 parts coming out because no one would ever run non-Tamiya custom M04 parts, right

Enough of the abuse. He failed post race tech in the 2nd qual . His first run still got him in the show. And although I didnt watch the races, im sure he gave Whippler an honest run. He may have failed tech, but that doesnt mean he we was intentionally breaking the rules. When you run the motor that close to the RPM limit you risk going over, and he did. I dont care one way or the other, I just think the guy has been beat on enough, some deserved, some not

Oops. What the heck did I just step in? I was just looking for some results.

How about the other classes? Did Wippler pull another double like in Omaha? What about F103/104? Those cars must have been dialed on Scotty's track!

If you have this much interest in What?,Where?, When? ,Who? of the Mini TCS race . You could ask me or any of the mini racers there for three days ,instead of pointing a mystery finger on the thread.

My motor in the second Q' heat dyno'ed at 13,700 rpm by Scotty himself and that reading was only shown to me . I told everyone at the tech table the reading ,which included most of the racers in my heat . That heat was DQ'ed . Yes limits are pushed to the edge in these Spec classes to win . That same motor dyno'ed at 12,900 the race before!

As far as custom made parts , please point that finger somewhere else . I'm far to cheap to have any of that kind of stuff!!!LOL I even have all steel kit screws in my car.

Anyway, had a great time ! There was a lot of great talent in the house ,Carl put the pressure on me for my third place finish . Nathan and I have had some great mini battles the last couple years,he got me for second this time . Mr. Whippler in his own zip code ,keeps us all looking for faster setup.

I just have to say Thank You to Scotty and all the Trackside crew for another great TCS event this year. There was great racing in all the classes.

F104 had to be the most exciting of all the classes. Jimmy and Rob were outstanding as well as the rest in the class. F104 and F103 were some of the best racing to watch for the mains on Sunday. GT3 with the RPM limits was also an outstanding class to watch. Whippler dominated Mini and GT2.

I can't say enough of how great everyone is at this event. It was great to see everyone from all over the country again at Trackside. Ray and Doc it was great to see you guys again and thanks for all your help this weekend less than .3 sec from putting it in the show in GT3. Looking forward to next year.

As for next year GT1 17.5 open speedo, GT2 21.5 Controlled speedo, GT3 Silver can 13,000 RPM, F1 (103/104) foam 13,000 rpm, Mini 13,000 RPM, and Rally Open gearing. Of course novice/spec TT01.

No problem, I just think at the point that they throw the run out its done, thats punishment enough. And I guess while im at it, Scotty once again put on a hell of a show and had us on the road at a very reasonable hour. Always great to see the Trackside crew (even you Marty!!, (JK) )
Will be back again next year, one of the years must attend events.
