I want to Thank Tim and his crew at Hobby Plex Raceway in Omaha this weekend for hosting a great event. Your track and shop are truly top notch and everything went off without any problems. definately a must visit for next year if work/family allow.

Thanks Doc for the words of encouragement.

BTW- Does anyone have an opinion of handling charactoristics of the Tamiya bodies designed to fit the TA05 IFS? I raced an 2007 NSX this weekend and it seemed to steer a lot. Not sure how it differs compared to the Nissan GT-R and others designed to sit low. Looking to get another body that is more neutral handling.

Thanks TIM for the great event, as well as Tamiya...HobbyPlex is just plain awesome for indoor carpet racing....will definitely be back next year.

Eric, for you, next year TCS GT2, you have to use the F1 body only simply that will slow you down so ppl can catch up.... Both your mini and GT2 are dialed and very nice to meet you. Will see you next year...

Well, 4 of the Chicago crew made it home safe through the winter storm.

Thanks to Tim and HobbyPlex for hosting the event and to Tamiya for once again supporting the series. Lots of fun racing with everyone, and hopefully the GT1 class numbers will grow for the remainder of the series.

Now off to find some more speed in my F104 to hang with those F103's........

M05 is ready (including concourse body). My only concern is my 12,400 RPM motor. When it is hot, for some reason it reads 17,000 RPM. I hope Fred lets me cool it down before he tests it.

I found that if you spray the motor out with enough motor spray, the brushes freeze to the comm and lock the motor up completely. That will keep your RPMs within spec, but you may fail the 1.2A load test.

Hey guys, just as a heads up Tamiya America's very own Green Lantern Fred Medel will be appearing on the R/Cast podcast this Thursday. And yes, we're asking about TCS Rule changes, Silver cans, ESC's, motors, the whole gambit. Should be interesting, I'll post a link when it's up.

Hey guys!

A few quick notes:
Spoke to Tim at Hobbyplex yesterday and I heard the event went off really great as I knew it would. Last year I had the pleasure being at their inaugural TCS regional. Their facility is TOP NOTCH and Tim knows exactly how to run a great race. If you have the chance to go to that event next year I highly recommend it!

We have launched a new site within our website. www.tamiyagear.com
Check it out. We have new TCS 2010 T-shirts available with 3 different designs, depending on your class preference. They are also available in different colors. More color choices will be added in the future. Check it out. We made the pricing on all the apparel as cheap as we could to

Hope you guys like the designs.

Default F104 Electronics Trays

My F104 has the electronics trays but I trimmed them to route the speedo and servo wire that I shoe gooed in place. Will I really get dinged for it in tech? I mean, really?

The pic below shows where the tray was trimmed. Look near the shrink wrapped servo wires.

If it is determined to be illegal, then I'm out...no TCS for me.
