I say the winner finishes atleast 8 seconds ahead of 2nd place and laps half the field in the A main. Wish I could be there to run some unlimited silvercan mini action Good luck to all those racing.

Fred,

Just to clarify, are you stating the F104 trays MUST be installed and used on all F104 chassis?

Yes Marty. That's what I'm saying. You must use the stock Plastic radio trays until we come out with optional radio tray parts. Until that day comes, stick with the kit supplied trays.

Does anyone know or has seen if Tamiya ever made this body for the F103GT. I found the pictures here.

With that many minis you would think of having two class mini, one stock with rpm limit for the intermediate driver who doesn't know how to tweek a motor and then the unlimited class or sportman class. That's still 3 mains for each class and that not too bad!
I personally think that Fred should do that for the regionals. That way it would be the best of both worlds. Tech the motor and that will determine what class you can run! I think there would be a lot of happy racers if they ran that format!
Just my 2$ "FRED"

That is not a Tamiya body.

Tamiya did make a similar body, the Toyota TS-020 GT-One that came on the F103-LM chassis.

maxepower - I agree with you 100%! I think if people were made aware of that you may get even more minis out there.

Interesting idea about the split motor class, and rpm limits, what about split FDR class seperation as well , given the gearing options in the mini class. Not a comparable race.. to have a chassis that has to choose between 19 or 21 tooth pinion, and run against 20 tooth max with other chassis.

guys running MO4 will hear that the extra gear helped them against 20 tooth max cars.. or they would run a 19 and be at a speed disadvantage.. tough choice, or seperate class ??

It's obvious to me that two classes are necessary; Ray K class and Everyone else class!
