I believe Tekin are working on a map that has no timing advance for spec racing, with a unique and obvious boot sequence of beeps and lights.
LRP also may have a similar arrangement with a different color light on their new SXX.
This will be the best of both worlds, as you can have the opportunity of the most advanced settings for fast paced racing, and a slow mode fo spec racing, without having to re-wire up a different esc for the slow races.

from TCS F-1 Foam rules:
" 14.The F103/F104 chassis must be built per the instruction manual. Altering its basic structure and design is prohibited. "
Fred,
a) Does this mean the F-103 must use the F-103 rear axle and diff assy?
b) Does this mean the F-103 must use the F-103 rear side pod motor mount?
Fred,
Could you please answer the question posed a few pages back re: On the F-104, must the servo and speedo trays be used? or may you use a lexan tray as shown in RayK's post?
Thanks in advance........

A. The F103 may use the F104 diff housing and carbon axle. It's a Hop Op for either car.
B. The F103 may only use the F103 aluminum or stock motor pd parts. The F104 one may not be used.
C. You may not make your own Lexan radio trays. The stock F104 one needs to be used.

I think if you tell people you are the guy with the insanely fast mini with the brushless sytem in it they will have a better idea who you are. Just quit passing my GT-1 car on the straight. I will be back out in a couple of weeks when I get back in town if you need another antenna tube.

How about this for a new spec controller for the TCS. From Speed Passion.

Too late for this year. You can't punish people for abiding by what the rules say. Besides, if Tekin, LRP, Novak and SpeedPassion all come out with a "stock" "non-adjustable" esc, who is to say that LRP's stock won't have more timing built in than the Novak? If people want a truly spec class, then next year why not one motor and one esc only. No options. Then if you don't like it, you can run all your fancy escs in GT1 with your TA05, or throw a silvercan in an run GT3.
Why not allow the timing advance speedos? They are the standard now for all on-road racing and everyone has or can get one.
