I know Trackside usually holds heats of rally racing as part of the TCS weekend. Do any of the other host tracks run rally heats? Thanks.

Default Keeping the string alive

The Tamiya boffins have sent out an e-mail to all us likely suspects, soliciting our opinion on the shirts, and are suggesting a price of $19 for a white shirt and $20 for a black one, no additional cost for those of us plus-sized racers who want a 2XL or 3XL. No quote on the heather gray, though.

How they hanging, Swifty? Good to hear from youse.

No

Only other track that "might" is Aliso.

Just a question but if I read the rules correctly and it says " 15. It is forbidden to crank the timing on the 540-J motor physically or through the use of rare earth magnets. "

So I guess Red Dot motors and all the other people out there that "tune there motors will have to find a new way to stay with in the RPM limits legally.

Is that correct?

So I assume Brandon your going back to the use of positionally-controlled mechanochemistry guided by molecular machine systems to improve your silver can performance?

When Fred comes down off the mountain and Gives Us The Word, we will know how to define 'correct'. Until then, all is speculation.

Also posted on the 104 thread:

With regards to the F104 Pro chassis, anyone care to take a guess as to whether it's TCS legal to ditch the ESC/Rx trays? My TP lipo is so wide that it touches the posts on both sides, so there's no room for the trays to wrap around the posts. I can get my small ESC/Rx to stay put on the chassis, but would this be considered an illegal "removal or modification"?

Hey Greg, I had that same problem. So I made a ABS plate and bolted it to the bottom of the top plate, using some of the spare holes. Then heat and bend the ends down in front of the sides of the battery. Receiver on one side ,speedo on the other.

How you mount your radio gear ,transponder and car weight has never been an issue before!!

Ahh, thanks for the idea and the prior experience. Much appreciated!

If anyone on this thread is going to the January Jam at R/C Madness, look for me in the pits. I'll be the guy scrambling to get his hours-old 104 up to speed.
