But yes the only requirement is that it is a Tamiya car. Other than that you can have what ever upgrades you want on the car. Come down to join the fun if you need help the people there would be more than happy to help you it is a big family community. So come on out any saturday 9am-4pm. Come have some fun!!
True, there is no fee, but there are a dedicated few who prep the track each week. Donations to help with their expenses are gratefully accepted. I chip in $5 whenever I remember, which probably isn't often enough. For those who wish to chip in see Kevin Nino.

Thanks, John. Appreciate the kind words.

We actually just finished a production run that will ship this week. Most were ordered in advance and pre-paid, but there are a few left.

Interested parties should e-mail me at [email protected] for details.

So how are the North American Champions doing in their preparations for Japan? Have many carpet tracks in the SoCal area to get dialed in? I know.....it's a "different" carpet over there, but it can't hurt.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Lee P. is probably the best "carpet" person that has gone over to J-land in a long time. Not to take anything from anybody else, Lee has owned the carpet competition and won too many to count TCS Trackside carpet races when he lived in WI. I wish the TCS worlds was live. . .

I know Lee P and Michael M. have been practicing on the carpet at OCRC each week. I dont think Timmy has come down for any practice.

Cool Practice for World Finals

Timmy was planning on practicing on carpet before we leave for Japan. But, all the past Champions that we talked to said with hand out tires, hand out motors with fixed gearing and hand out batteries, nothing you can do will come close to finding a set-up that will work in Japan. All he really needed to do was to get a one-way for his car. So, I guess it doesn't hurt to practice as much as you can regardless of where your at, but practicing on carpet is just as good as any other track!
Just my 2$

More importantly, make sure you and Timmy practice on your chop sticks so you do not starve while you are over there.

Does anyone know for 2010 what the 17.5 motor rules for GT2 will be? Will it still be only Novak and LRP for this class? Also will the 13.5 motors still be ROAR list motors?

I don't think they've made any decisions on that yet, but I'd like to know too, as I'd like to buy another 17.5 motor but I also want to make sure that whatever I buy will be allowed in the GT2 class. So I guess we'll just have to be patient a bit longer....

I spoke with Fred the other day. He said he is trying to work out the details. He indicated the 2010 rules should not be expected for a few more weeks.
