Default 2009 TCS Nationals Videos posted

If you would like to see videos of the 2009 TCS Nationals

GT-2 A Mains 1 & 2
or
GT-3 Main

They are posted here: http://gallery.me.com/maweir

Videos of Mini A Mains 1,2, & 3 are on their way as we speak.

They were taped following one particular driver's car, but others can also be seen. GT-2 follows Lee Passehl, GT-3 follows Paul Hageman, and Mini follows Nathan Weir.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but is there a thread here where I can ask set up questions for the Tamiya America track? Specifically trying to figure out how to get a TA05V2 in the ballpark for GT3 and GT2 (gearing, tires, chassis settings and whatnot...). Kind of a noob at racing and I'd like to be competitive by the time TCS comes back to the Tamiya HQ track in a few months.

If you are at Tamiya this Saturday, I can look at your car and give you some basic ideas where to start. Kit specs are a good start and then go from there to suit your driving style. Gearing depends on the motor you are running and how many do you want to blow up ! Tires, for TCS your only choice is Tamiya. A's only work for very cool temps so B3's are what you need. I have a used set from the Nats you can borrow to try out on your car.

Look for the Blue / Orange / White RX-7 or the Blue spalshed on white F103. Not sure which one I will have out this weekend yet.

Cool, thanks Kevin. I'll most likely be there, name's Jeff, I'll introduce myself.

BTW, what time do things get started, 9am or 10?

Because the Mazda Cup and the Ultimate F1 race are coming up next week. That's why I am still here. Now, there is a good chance I will be back in China in January so if there is an Aliso TCS race in February, you are in big trouble. Do you need me to pick up some more gold paint for you ?

Greymachine - I think people get there around nine. Since I started hanging out with Team "LAME" (Lazy Asian Motorsports Ent.), I show up anytime between 10:00 AM to noon.

Last year it was in October, I would assume the same timeframe. . .
