Hey you F N F1 racers, check out this new thread from 240Z!

Gonna get a direct connection to the F1 scene in So Cal by coordinating track times so we can overwhelm chosen tracks on given days!

He calls it an F1 Swarm!
I like it, join in, show up and let's race.
The tracks will love us and you know more will join in!

Done deal, thanks for the heads up!

I did the F1 32t motor and brushes too, spec parts available on this page.

Pre register only, no walk ins.

With registration, 25% discount coupon for the Tamiya site.

Not sure how it gets to you tho, I want tires before the race for sure.

Curious about this for GT3.

The TCS Nats Products Page says, "Bullet connector must be used for GT-3 and Mini. If you need a pair here is your chance."

But the "Driver's Manual" says:

GT-3 and F-1
1. GT-3 and F-1 drivers are allowed to take their motors back into the pits.
2. Hard wiring is permitted.

Can someone please clarify? Thanks!

Probably a typo on the Nats Products Page, bullet connectors will most likely be required for GT2 and Mini, as those are the two impound classes.

Not sure why, if we are allowed to hard wire and take back to the pits? We'll see what Mr. FMW says.

btw for those tuning up their F-1s, I saw that Jeff still has 2 of the formula tuned motors in stock...

Way too much fun today at AV Tamiya.

Many thanks for the wealth of information on F1s from all you guys.

Tom Slick, your input was much appreciated.

Can't wait to get back much better prepared, I hope.

A great day of racing at RC Madness for the final TCS Regional event of 2009!

Ray K TQ'd and won Mini and I finished 2nd- both of us were powered by Red Dots
Todd Marshall won F1 with Greg Kloten (who TQ'd) in 2nd- not sure which motors they actually used in their A Main, but they both have Red Dots...
I TQ'd and won GT3, Randy Tucker finished 2nd when Todd Marshall's (non Red Dot) motor roasted. Both Randy I were Red Dot Powered
Austin Vacek won both GT1 and GT2 (light field in GT2, as has been usual this year), with Bill Vacek 2nd in GT2 and Randy Bernard 2nd in a very moist GT1 final.

Nice day of racing, many thanks to Chris for hosting.

TCS ROCKS!!!

Best of luck to everyone who will be attending the Nats this year!

Default AV track improvements

F N Cuda, you're welcome. Hope some of what I offered helped, as F1 setups ultimately become a matter of personal preference anyway.
The painters were out at Tamiya today...And for all youse guys from the East and the frozen North, in answer to the "did you fix the crack" stuff, the question now is, what crack? The cracks have all been sealed, and the sweeper is just one big corner; seriously, one BIG corner, because with the new surface over the old white outside line, people can choose entirely new lines around the track.
Thank the painters shown here; from left, Mark Hinckley, Don Passehl, Dave Bird, and Max "the Ax" Valles. Not shown is Don's able and massively helpful wife Sally. Honestly, the track hasn't looked this good in years.

I'm sure everyone has noticed, the TCS Finals sign up page is up. Also, as you all have noticed, you can pre-purchase your SPEC items as well. You will get your 25% discount code when you get your registration confirmation email from us. The racer confirmation email has some important things you need to know and the discount code is there.

The track looks great!!! I'll have to post some older photos of when Tom K, B, Matteson, David Beale, John Houda, Tom Hibler and myself re-did the curbing with pick axes! That really sucked. HA HA Anyway, this crew has outdone what we've done in the past. The lines are very crisp and the curb paint is evenly spaced thanks to Don's obsessive compulsive needs

I suppose it's my turn to finish the track up with the new start finish line.
