All indicators point to "yes".

It was for the regional.

Default CAPTAIN WE NEED MORE POWER"

Actually, the outlets in the pit area were tied into the portable generator. I forgot how spoiled we were when there was power at the track. I'm hoping that the "TAMIYA GODS" will purchase a permanent generator, then all we have to do is add gasoline and turn it on! I'm sure the amount of money they spend renting that huge generator for the weekend for the regionals will overtime pay the cost of buying and hooking up a permanent generator!
Just my 2$ FRED....

Default Madness Directions

From RT 91 take Exit 47E RT 190 East, follow 190 for two miles, turn left onto Elm St. and take the first right onto North St for about a mile, shop and tracks are on the left.

I also enjoy staying at the Ayres Hotel (Languna Woods) which is about 5 miles from the Tamiya track. There's also a Holiday Inn Express that's closer to the track (I think is off of La Paz).

Thanks for the reply,

I'll run these by Todd since he is making the reservations. After looking into airfare it will just be about the same price to fly into SNA, and its closer. On another note, We have met before Jimmy Mac and I pitted near you at the ROAR nats they had in NC a few years ago. I know you don't remember me, but hey small world

I do remember that race (and I think I vaguely remember Jimmy). That's gotta be the biggest track I ever been on....24-25 second lap times...and we were doing 11-12 laps on the track. I think I counted, there were around 20 turns on that layout....lol Not sure if that track is still around. I remember it was about 100F with 100% humidity too...we stopped buying water at the cafeteria near by and just started buying ice in a cup and leaving it on the table, a few minutes later...ice water

I'll be at the nats, I'll look for you guys

Yeah hahah that track was insane. The straight away was so long the mod drivers could hit cruise control, take a sip of there drink, and still have time to get setup for the turn at the end Unfortunatly, that track is no longer there. That's NC summers for you, unbearable hehe. Ok see ya there, I'll be the guy holding the "Steve Its me" sign....LOL J/K

THE track opens at 9:00 am. I wish I could be there, instead I'm going to Fontana at California Speedway for some "full scale "racing.

Actually Home Depot rents generators. They had a 3000 watt and I think a 5000 watt generator for 24 hour periods. Very reasonable in the $40-$60 range. Today I was borrowing a tool and checked out everything they had.

Hello to all fans of TCS. It is with great sadness that I pass along this information, but I thought some of you might want to know. Yesterday we lost a past champion, David Beale past away Thursday evening after suffering a heart attack. David was the 2000 TCS Formula 1 champion. He was a true racer, an ambassador to the hobby, a mentor and an all around great friend. He spent countless hours at the track in Aliso Viejo where he raced, practiced, helped others, and made many friends. I think I can speak for us all when I say he will be deeply missed.

If anyone would like more information please feel free to contact me.
