I ran the NSX at Trackside and liked the handling, but I was running a TA05 IFS. Body choice depends on whether you like a little push, or a lot of steering
The Ferrari 360 if you can find one is a very reactive body, I have not run the F430 yet

Or if you'd like to break yourself apart from the NSX crowd, check out the Xanavi Nismo GT-R (R34), 350Z, or even the Audi A4 DTM. Now that's REAL Touring Car! Just remember to pick up the optional wingset for any of these bodies, as the plastic ones that come with some bodies aren't always useful.

Can't believe this is 10 minutes from my house for all these years and I just got my first Tamiya.

F1s are sick.
I'm all over it.

Gonna be open this Saturday?

Any other days it might be open?

Hey all,

Is it about a hour drive from LAX to the track? And are there some decent places to stay near by? Thanks

BRANDON,YOUR ALWAYS TRYING TO STIR THE POT!

FN CUDA, Yes the track will be open SAT.,

TIMMIE, It would be a lot closer if you arrived at John Wayne Airport, SNA is the abbreviation. Your only 20-30 minutes from there. The Ayers Hotel is close, that's in Laguna Hills off El Toro Bl., prices are reasonable The Rennaciance Hotel is closer but a lot more expensive, that's in Aliso Viejo. The Irvine Suites off Lake Forest Dr. is the next closest but more affordable! I guess your planning on doing the Nationals? What class?

Thanks for the reply, it was very helpful!

Yeah I am thinking about it. Trying to plan it out with Todd Marshall after he suggested I go with him when we talked about it this past weekend up in MD. I will check into flights from NC(RDU) to SNA to see how the rates compare to flying into LAX. I know I will run GT2 for sure, I want to run GT1 but having a very difficult time locating a part I need for my evo. I don't know, things are kinda up in the air atm, need to talk things out with Todd before I can really say what is going on Thanks again for your time.

It's about an hour drive if there's no traffic. If you are traveling during rush hour...it could be a 2 hour drive.

I also enjoy staying at the Ayres Hotel (Languna Woods) which is about 5 miles from the Tamiya track. There's also a Holiday Inn Express that's closer to the track (I think is off of La Paz).

I heard through the grape vine about a 2 hour F1 race, with 3 qualifying periods, two car teams, yada, yada... Is this true ? please
