Thumbs up

So does anyone local to socal know for sure if Tamiya will provide power to the main pit area for the Aliso Viejo regionals coming up? I've also heard rumors of the aliso viejo track being repaved... Is that going to happen before the regional event? If these two things become reality, I think this year's regional and Nats will be unforgettable.

Nothing like home field advantage.
It's great to have it your back yard for sure.
At sometime in the future it would be cool to have at another TCS location.

Power will be provided through the rental of a generator, but if you have the ability to bring your own, I highly recommend it. As for the paving, if it is done, it will not be done before regionals.

When might the 2009 NAF rules get posted? I'd like to see them before making the decision of whether or not I'd like to participate again this year.

Exclamation TCS Race in Aliso Viejo

I just wanted to ask anybody who is doing this race next weekend, I'm putting together a list of parts that our local hobby store is going to be selling at the track. Any suggestions for spare parts? Discriptions and part #'s would be good!

You must use Tamiya tires and wheels in all TCS races.

5.Any Tamiya foam F1 tire may be used. This includes: 53128, 53129, 53134, 53135, and 53271.

6.Update 3/17/09: Front and Rear foam tires must cover the entire width of the wheel. No width trimming is allowed. Exception! If you own old rear short HBR tires with the shiny side on both ends, those are allowed.

7.Tamiya F1 wheels only.

Default Foam Tires

Does all Tamiya foam tires have a identification mark on them?

Tamiya should make all the F1 cars run the new premounts.
As far as I know the only ones with the brand logo are the $70+ premounts.
They seriously don't have a real way to check what foam people are using. I'm certain that at Scotties people were using non-Tamiya foam. Very certain!

On the non premounts there is a number printed on the sidewall of the tire, that is really the only way to tell what compound you are running
I will look at my tires a little later and post some numbers

Hi Guys,
Can someone verify for me; if I show up and only run the Saturday program for the Regionals, does that qualify me for the Nationals?
Thanks,
Jose

Woe! I actually agree with this. The Star Premounts would be an excellent choice to have as spec tires.Any "Hybrid" tires will be taken out of the picture.I could also bring a durometer to check for inconsistencies and possible tampering...

With the arrival of the f104 is it typical for TCS to only allow the new chassis (no f103) in 2010? TIA
