Below is the criteria for a host site is supposed to have to host TCS.
(taken from Tamiya website)

1-Existing hobby store with Tamiya parts and kit support
2-Existing race program
3-Regular turn out of attendees
4-Ample area for pit space
5-Secured proper permits (where applicable)
6-Liability insurance for the event

HT Fremont does not meet #2 and #3. I would think that those would be most important.
As as far as #1 is concerned, they don't carry stuff a racer really needs. Might as well buy it from Tamiya direct or EBAY.

Sarcasm perhaps?

HT fremont is hosting a race and they have yet to hold a single race this year. It's annoying to see a dedicated race facility get passed over for a temporary parking lot track.
If the facility has never tried to get a race with us, there is only so much we can do. There are too many stores and tracks around the country for us to go to them and propose a race unfortunately. In an ideal world it would be great to see only permanent tracks get a race, but that is not the case.[/quote]

I have a few other questions. Are you guys planning to reschedule the 2 races that were cancelled? Is there a chance to have other race facilities bid in for those rescheduled races?
No matter what the schedule the year before, any track can apply for a race at any time. We try our best to work with the facilities to get dates that work for everyone. That is why our application asks for a variety of race date options.

The race canceled in Seattle will not be made up. The race at Tamiya we will TRY to make up time permitting. We are super busy with many other things at this point, and TCS cannot be the priority right now. When there is new information to announce we will put it on the Tamiyausa.com page and the TCS page

In Vegas on a weekend you can get 2 Jack & Cokes and three lap dances. On a tuesday you can get 8 lap dances and have enough money left over for one Bud Light. SoCal your more like 3 dances in the VIP room and three beers with a shot. Of course these are just round numbers for guys who don't know how to negotiate, I hope this answered any questions regarding left over funds from RC and how they could be distributed in a Gentelmans Club

But there is one important reason that Hobbytown is getting the TCS race over Union City?
IT'S CALLED:

"DON'T STAND BEHIND THE DRIVERS STAND"
"DON'T STAND BEHIND THE DRIVERS STAND"
"DON'T STAND BEHIND THE DRIVERS STAND"
he..he..he..he..
I'm sure anybody that has raced at both facilities catches my drift??
ONE THING FOR SURE IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO SEE THOSE F103 F1 CARS HAULING THE MAIL AROUND THAT BEAUTIFUL UNION CITY TRACK!

I RACED THERE LAST YEAR @ THE TCS RACE AND HAD A GREAT BATTLE WITH MR.HICKS IN GT3!
SEE YA ALL IN FREMONT THIS YEAR EITHER WAY.
