Thanks to The Coliseum (and a tip O' the Doctor's Hat to owner Richard Benjamin, Race Director Casey Castleman, and Head Tech Dude Rick King, plus many others) for hosting an INCREDIBLE event yesterday, and a BIG SHOUT OUT to Tamiya USA for continuing to run what has to be the best series in R/C Racing. Simply amazing.

Also thanks to the many racers, both local and from out of town (as far away as Pittsburgh, Long Island, Connecticut and Toronto) who came down to enjoy the venue. Please come down and see us again!

Congratulations to the drivers who participated in the event and cooperated with tech and the many (for some, new) rules. YOU ARE ALL WINNERS!!!

Special congratulations to the drivers who placed at the top of their respected classes:
* Austin Vacek, who dominated both GT2 and GT1- we should start calling him Mr. Smooth!
* Bruce and Steve Hickman- you guys OWN GT3! We all wish we could drive like you guys do- a true class act!
* Jamie Hanson- really in a class all by himself in F1 (you gotta go to Trackside in two weeks), but to watch Jamie, Randy and Joe run F1 just put us all in awe of their fearsome driving powers.
* RayK- what can I say? After many TQ's in Mini at previous events but never winning, Ray broke the TQ curse and simply drove away from the field. Same thing in Senior Spec. And on top of that, Ray constantly offers help to other racers, spare parts, plus guidance to the newbies and developing racers alike. Ray, you are THE MAN!!!

Looking forward to the Trackside event in two weeks!

Default Great racers good times

Thank you to all who showed up and participated in TCS this year at the Coliseum. It was a long two days but you all worked hard to make it easy to direct and get things going quickly.

Thanks,
Casey

Results from the first TCS of the 2009 season.

PS- Fred or Gary if you still need me to send you the hard copies just let me know.

Default tcs race at the "c"

Thanks to all who made the event competitive, exciting, and a lot of fun.

A BIG THANKS to the owner of the "c", Richard Benjamin, a class act at an amazing facility and hobby shop. Also a big thanks to the tech crew and the annoucing crew who made the all day event (which ran from 11:15am to 9:15pm,) go smoothly. And thanks to Lohr's Restaurant who catered the event. Those apple dumplings, pulled pork sandwiches, and hot dogs were great and inexpensive.

And for the drivers, congradulations to all the winners. Many of the races were dominated by very skilled drivers while leaving the 2,3,4 spots battling till the end.

Austin Vacek, the Hickman brothers, Ray K, and Jamie Hansen drove great races the whole day.

Hopefully, future tcs events at the "c" will be just as good and maybe even better (although that would be hard to do.)

Much more fun and intense competition than expected. One of the smoothest races ever, along with great battles in all classes especially mini.
