So the next race is at the Coliseum in MD, March 15th. Indoor asphalt and smooth as glass. Sorry to hear this weeks race was a bust. Hope to see a lot of you out east.

Fred should now be headed to Germany right now. Unfortunately we cannot have the track open on Sunday.

February 21-22, 2009
Race #140 - CANCELLED
Seattle Indoor Raceway
Kent, WA

?????????????????

Why not run it then. That gives all the people who canceled there flights time to schedule them for the 21st and 22nd.
I am just clarifying that I meant its not going to rain on the weekend of the 21st & 22nd

Brandon,

It appears to be still a little damp here... do you have a set-up for slightly wet conditions.

Well on Wet Slate I run a completley different setup then I would with Wet Asphalt seems to me you need to stiffen the car up and run med. 60 D's so here is what I have compiled after looking at your pictures and cross refrencing then with the major manufactures and suppliers of slate throught the country and what you have is what we call arizona flag slate which is a softer stone than that of your sister slate the eastern shelf. With that being said and returning to my data log of setups over various surfaces and weather conditions here is what I came up with for an M03M Swift (of course)

Front
70 oil yellow spring
silver sway bar
Double stuffed foam tires60D
1.5 degrees of toe out
ride height 8.35 mm

Rear
50 oil new red springs
no sway bar
Double stuffed foam tires 60D
-1.5 Rear uprights (adjusted to -2 degrees)
Ride height 9 mm

Hope this helps John

Geez, go figure, there was more sunshine here in Detroit than in "Sunny" SoCal!
We should have run the race here, I have a wicked setup for ice racing

any one know what the deal is with the vintage class. I've heard it's just an exhibition class but what's teh rule set?

I dusted off the tao3r-trf that I ran in the 99 nats... it's been sitting on the shelf ever since that race concluded. thining about firing it up for the regional. (prob should swap the b2's out for b3's. hehe)

Vintage class rules as posted in the general TCS thread:

1. Chassis: TA01, TA02 and FF01 chassis only.
2. Car count: There will be one (1) heat of a maximum of 20 cars for Vintage
Class.
3. Tires/inserts: 26mm vinyl tires only: Racing Slicks (50454), Racing
Radials (50419), and Racing Semi Slick Tires (50810), any insert is allowed. (updated tire rules below)
4. Bodies: Due to the scarcity vintage sedan bodies, we will use rules
similar to the 2007 Finals GT-2 Class body rules; any touring car or sports
car body may use except any NSX, Nissan skyline R34, Ferrari 330 and 430,
Lexus SC, Subaru Legacy, Racing Nissan 350Z and Mercedes CLK-GTR
5. Motors: Tamiya Silver can or Sport Tuned (black can) motors are allowed.
6. Battery: 7.2 volt NiCad or NiMh batteries only. No mAh limit.
7. Hop-Ups: Any Tamiya Hop-Up may be used and installed the way it was
designed, for these vintage chassis'.
8. To sign-up, please state Vintage Class in "Comments" section of entry
form.

Please note, the Vintage class is a spectator class at the Memphis TCS race. It will not count towards your 2-class limit rule for this event.

The selection of tires for the Vintage class has been expanded to include
any of Tamiya's 26mm sedan tire and wheel. Here is a list of recommended
tires that are available at this time.

Any response as to Running the Aliso race that was cancelled on the weekend of when the SIR race was cancelled sounds like a pretty good idea if you ask me or the following weekend or if thats to soon April 11-12 seems like a decent fit. Andrew can you let us know what the talk around the office is.
