As an amature meteorologist / freelance gynecologist I must concur with Brandon on this issue.

They should put that information on the TCS website. As of a few minutes ago it said the following.

2/4/09: Due to pending weather conditions, it has been determined if Saturday is a complete rain-out, the event will be cancelled and will hopefully be rescheduled for later this year. We at Tamiya America thank you for your interest in participating in the TCS Series.

I think I will have to check the Tamiya TAC series now. Heading to China in two weeks. Maybe I can race in HK while I am there.

Fred - PLEASE do not reshedule the regional until March 14-15 or later. A case of Starbucks can be arranged if necessary.

WOW, that proves I am Psychotic, Psytoctic, um er Psychic, ya that's it.

I cancelled my flight, rental car and Hotel last night . Only $100 in fees to cancel.

Who from California is coming to Trackside in march? We will definatly be running, cause we race indoors....

Of coarse I will, as long as weather prevails!
So I guess the race is cancelled. If the rain stops and looks like it's clearing on Sat. I'll open the track!

See you saturday for practice mark my words "its not going to rain" John are you going to come out and play with your minis it would be cool if you could. Also I have another awesome idea -

February 21-22, 2009
Race #140 - CANCELLED
Seattle Indoor Raceway
Kent, WA

?????????????????

Why not run it then. That gives all the people who canceled there flights time to schedule them for the 21st and 22nd.

Just arrived from Wash DC here at LAX, my Blackberry rings and I get the message that Tamiya has canceled the race? Oh well I guess I can get some track time this weekend I'm sure it probably won't rain Sat and Sun?
Why cancel the race so soon??? it is only Thurs.??
Waiting for Bruce to arrive, boy he will be thrilled with this decision??

The decision was made to cancel the race so early because if it rains Saturday morning and we have to cancel then, we have committed to things like generators and tables/chairs that we will still have to pay for.

We have not started the discussions for the make up weekend at this time, but do not plan on it being this month.

Sorry for the inconvenience we know this caused to many, however weather is something we cannot control and we tried to wait as long as possible while still giving enough notice for those traveling.
