thanks in advance fred.

Just my 2$

Most of the new red pip 540s, tach out at 12.3 -12.5k. There are a few that will be in the 12k range and I had one get to 12.8, but that one will be in MY Mini. The size of the sample is over 30+ motors and all of them were tested after a break in that fully seated the brushes.

Just a guess, but a new, fresh out of the box motor will be c. 500 rpm less. You can safely break in a motor and stay under the 13k motor limit. That's with the red pip ones. The white pip ones may be a little faster, but can't swear to it, as a sample of only 2 motors isn't large enough to come to any solid conclusions.

Just curious, has anyone used the carbon racing wing on a Lexus body? Looks like it might be at a weird angle. Just wondering what it would look like before I drill holes.

Thanks

If you're talking about the carbon-print lightweight wing, then yes, I have used it on the SC430 Lexus and it worked fine.

Did you need to do anything to the mounts?

Carl,

Doesn't the wing mounts come with 2 little plates that can be turned forwards or backwards to adjust the angle of the wing. I know Other Tamiya hop up wings have come with them to adjust the downforce. Maybe you just need to turn them around to adjust the angle on the wing.

No, and there were even little dimples on the body in the correct locations for the holes. The wing angle is indeed adjustable by repositioning the base.

With the angle of the trunk, I just wanted to make sure the wing mounts would still work like they were intended to do. Thanks.

Anyone here know if the Novak 17.5 brushless (TCS legal, version) is available with the GTB ESC as a package, or do you have to purchase the motor and ESC separately?

All of the images of the Novak 17.5 ESC/Motor systems depict a motor without the yellow ring??? And the part number supplied on the TCS Rules page is for the motor only.

Thanks!

Thanks Chris. I did send an email to Novak, but they must be closed for the weekend/holiday since I haven't heard anything back.
