Quick follow up team North America had some great runs during the main, but some challenges presented themselves to prevent the guys from moving up in the standings, overall everyone had a great time. Thanks once again to our host Tamiya Inc.

Great stuff, George! Congrats to the USA drivers!
Two questions:
* What is Dylan doing with the rotary tool in pic #1? Looks...intense
* Where did Tony get the Run DMC moves in the last pic?

Ok , the pinion is stretching it a bit. whatever ... sorry to dissapoint you dish,, or chris, or mark .. or pseudonym to be determined.

As I always say "if it is that important that you have to bend the rules because someone drives, sets up thier car better, or runs away from the field,
Then hey more power to you. Whip knows that mini better than anyone here and will allways have a edge. It is up to you to to beat him. But hey do what you gotta do.

But on another note "CONGRATS TO THE NORTH AMERICAN REPS FOR THIER FINISHES IN JAPAN"

Congrats North American Champs for all making the Big Show and running well. Tony's fourth in A3 would have moved him up the ladder considerably but it is still unknow why the run was DQ'ed. Dylan stands out in the pics, Nemo definetly blends in with the crowd.

Doc, I have no idea where he suddenly got those moves. Deven and Dylan must have had something to do with it. I think Dylan is using the dremel as a hand warmer.

And last of all, why did Tony and Dylan sign the Canadian flag and Steve signed the American flag ? I think our guys were really messing with the locals !

It seems like TCS leads the way again for TC Racing. ROAR is considering dropping the weight for TC in 2009 from 1525 to 1500. Great call Tamiya. I wonder is Tamiya is ahead of the curve on the A123 battery?

1500 is still too heavy.. less mass means less enertia and less broken parts .. U think an ounce is enough ?
hmmm, well... perhaps its a start . I can balance my car perfectly (416) and take off almost 4 oz. thay let the foam tc guys weigh 1418g .
I know the tires way alot less , and they corner faster ..... but here in lies again.. a lighter car will accellerate faster and handle better too. So now how are they going to slow us down after that ? Spirit of competition makes it difficult to regulate anything.. some one will always violate some rule or manipulate a loop hole to go faster. fact is I cant believe how much I've spent of lead this last year and all those other years blowing coin on lightweight stuff. Tamiya obviously believen that the A123 cells are a bright future for us. but only time will tell...

I thought 1400g for a 416 was unachievable for the 2008 TCS Nats until Hebiki convinced me otherwise. The GT1s at 1400g and 10.5 were like bunny rabbits at AV. Surprisingly, because of the lower weight, the crashes did not lead to many DNFs.

George, am I reading that right?........ It seems that you're offering a bit of a protest about those "challenges", but you've worded it strategically --- maybe so as not to bite the feeding hand....

If there were situations that could be avoided in the future, wouldn't it be better to air it out, so that future champs might benefit?

If not, disregard.

Hey Bruce,
The "challenges" were not of a sporting nature, but the common technical issues we sometimes face in racing like chasing the right setup or the unexpected gremlins that pop-up. The racing was fair and unbiased.
