2. You can double stuff since we can't check the inserts, but the tire diameter cannot go passed 60mm. If it's 60.25mm you have to go put on new tires.
3. Not a handout motor, but the motor that you must use now. They should be about $10 at a hobby store.

F103 series chassis ONLY. No F101 or F102 chassis.

We are not going to get into a mixing tire sizes type thing. M-chassis will run the 60D/M-Chassis type tires. No smaller tires, no sedan tires.
Thanks for the info. I suspected that was the answer for the tires. Gonna have to see how last years double stuffs measure up.

I measured my (several dozen) Mini tires last night- none of them are larger than 60mm and I have many different insert types and combinations in them. So unless you go ca-razy with insertage you should be just fine. And if your tire really is 60.25mm, a couple of passes will wear them down to below the max.

Andrew, please direct me to a hobby store where I can buy 540J's for $10. Not to be super picky, but around here they run anywhere from $17-22. They can be cheaper overseas (especially in bulk ) but the shipping costs are killer.

Yeah the last time I bought a 540-J it cost me quite a bit more than that. It was fast and had a little red dot on it.

Sorry, I guess I am a little out of touch with prices. I guess my point was that the investment in the motor would not be much more. Wait and see closer to the season if the prices change on our site.

I can promise that there will be some sort of rpm limits as well at certain venues, so be careful.

We tried stuffing 2 inserts into a tire to test measure and it was still 60mm.

I measured all of my tires from nationals that are double stuffed and none of them exceeded 58 MM so i guess I shorted myself no pun intended Dylan.

If anyone wanted to get inspired about the upcoming (returning) F1 TCS class then look at the forum/thread here:

This guy has an amazing collection.

For anyone who's interested, the last batch of Red Dot silver can motors to be produced for 2008 is shipping this week. I've received a lot of inquiries over the past couple of weeks, so if you want one (they also make a nifty holiday present!) it would be best to speak up NOW before they are gone. In fact, the smart guys have prepaid - you might want to do the same to ensure you get one before next year.

Despite the financial meltdown and the drop of the dollar against virtually every other currency in the world, motors still cost only $45 each plus shipping ($8 within the USA for one or two motors, $10 for three or more; international shipping is quoted on request). I prefer PayPal, and my PayPal id is [email protected] as my e-mail addy.

Thanks!
Doc
