Very fun day.
Good job to those in charge; tech seems to be working smoothly, thanks for adding extra staff to speed things along!

Sorry guys I had a contest deadline to make it a pre-race prediction.
For 2008 there are only 5 that qualified.

You might want to wait till after this weekend for your answer. The Best mini drivers in the US are battling it out at the Nationals. I am sure they will jump on once the dust settles.

I heard;
1 person for having a magnet in his pocket was DQed.
Another person left tech with his motor and pleaded ignorance and won his case and the trip. (there were rumblings of boycott)
There were a few others that had their wrists slapped on Sat.
Heard Fred even threaten the mini drivers about tearing down and inspecting for extra magnets in the mains.

I don't envy Fred/Tech's position but wish the rules were more black and white especially for the Nationals! Tough love is tough love and might actually give the culprit more character.

On the flips side congrats to all the winners and safe trip to everyone getting home.

While I can't speak to the rumored racer(s) issues in tech. (because I was not present at the time) I thought overall the event ran very smoothly. Hat's off to the TCS Nats. Tech. crew for a great job under the new rules package. IMHO - their best job to date!

And for those wondering what the event results were this year....well let's just say I made the prize raffle my bitch

Great job again this year Fred!

All Trip Winning Classes for the A mains had their motors STRCTLY IMPOUNDED during the post technical inspection. With 4 observers present it was impossible to have motors leave the post tech area.
