Even though the kit comes with a plastic gear adapter, it's still not allowed? I can see the TB02 continuing to be the source of many problems!

What Fred basically said is that you can't use the Evo 3 adapter on the TB without it rubbing on something, and that meant that you would have to mill something out which is a no-no in GT-2. I didn't ask about the 52T though.

Up here in Canada, we have our last chance qualifier @ Boytoys in Mississauga on Saturday July 25. Should be good for everyone.
I will be racing a 415 in GT1 and a TA04-R in GT2.

I was able to run the kit included spurgear adapter with 48P gears and didn't have to modify anything. You just have to play around to find a combination that works/fits. Just playing devil's advocate.

Default Nats rules

From the tamiya usa website.

2. Any manufacturer’s electronic speed control, radio equipment, servo saver, antenna, antenna mount, pinion and spur gears (TA-04/EVO series, 414 series and 415 only), ball bearing, tire inserts are allowed

It reads like tb must use tamiya spurs only.

Default B3's

Have not had a chance to try them out yet but on a digital scale one b3 tire is .1 ounce less than a b2. The reinforcing fibers look to be a thinner or finer weave. Did anyone at tamiya run them yet?

The GT1 motor is different than the F201 motor this year. Hmmmm, time to do some research.

In order for B3 to be legal, I think it needs to arrive by the end of this month to give it sometime for Tamiya USA to get it to their dealers...otherwise, I don't see it being legal for this year's TCS.

Neil,

When are you heading out to Tamiya to practice your F201 again?

Just got back from the nats. I'm kinda RC'd out for awhile. Maybe in two weeks, not to interfere with the KO race.

They should be. I have no local shops who carry or can get tamiya tires. The nearest one is over 200 miles away. To get my stuff I will order on the internet. If its from Steve at Speedtech, Kevin at Burien or from Rainbow ten. It does not matter what state or country I buy them from I simply click and wait for them to be delivered. I know that Steve has b's(or B2's) in stock now but they have been discontinued. Does this mean that they are not legal, they were not allowing the eunos and alpha mini bodies because they were no longer available. I guess i'm just biased because I already have a few sets of b3's. I still dont know if they work or not. You can get b3's from rainbowten for now, they take paypal and shipped by ems only takes about 4 to 5 days.
