Are you and Mr. Rose coming to Aliso for the National this year to race Mini?
I will be racing GT2 and Bruce will be racing F103GT.
Good to see you guys this year in Union City, that is a fantastic RC Track!!!
It was great going over some old 1/12th scale racing memories!!!
SH.
Hey, Steve!!!

I don't think Rose will make it but I have not really talked to him about going. I might be able to twist his arm. It really depends on his work schedule and the care of his Mother. I'll start pressuring him this weekend when we race 1/12th. Yeah, it was good seeing you guy's again. It's been a long time. Too long. When are you and Bruce showing up for the TCS in Aliso Viejo?

Hey Paul,
Great to hear from you again. And glad to see you are back safe (again). When are you going to get a chance to join us again at a TCS event?

Default TCS RACE #138 RC MADNESS, CT 8/10/08

ROLL CALL:

Bruce and I will be there to run GT3, great tune up race for the TCS Nationals!

RC Madness confirmed that they will run 3 qualifiers and a Main in all classes!
Saturday will be all day open practice with Personal Transponder Lap Times!!
Huge asphalt track 3 years old that has been sealed, pvc barriers with flappers in the corners. I also understand that they will have a huge Tamiya stocked Hobby Shop with all the Hop Ups!
I have never raced there but it sounds like a great venue in Connecticut!!

WHO ELSE WILL BE THERE!!!
sh.

Steve,
I will be flying in late on 8/20/08 and will be there for open practice on 8/21 & 8/22. Bruce will be there also. You would be pretty competitive along with Jim in the Mini class as you know it will be a controlled hand out motor environment in Mini and GT2? We do not know yet what the RPM Limit window will be for both classes? I have been to every Tamiya Finals since 1994, it is a real blast and some fierce competition and some "good ole door handle to door handle racin " it will be very interesting in regards to the RPM Limit requirements when we finally are advised accordingly? last year there were several "blown motors" in all classes in crucial qualifying heats when all the marbles were on the table!
Hope to see you and Jim there????

If you are referring to the TCS finals:
F103 class is limited to the GT chassis only. However, it is no longer restricted to the Courage body (check the TCS rules for the other options).

I love the look of the F103RM and TCS Canada ran a F103RM exhibition class. But it seems that it will not be an option for the finals in AV. Also availability seems somewhat limited in the USA at the moment.

That's because no hobby shop nor distributor has ordered it yet. It's just sitting in the warehouse.

Yes, it is. Actually, they're $45 plus shipping, but the longer and more flowing the track, the more difference we see in lap times.

actually its 6 tenths.
My guess is that's on NorCal's track, right? At GB, the difference was a second or more- same at SIR. In Memphis, it was probably more than 1.5, but that straight went on foreverrrrrrrr

Instead of playing with motors, now you will have to practice a steady hand and a smooth driving line . You remember, the driving the car part of R/C racing
